1.5 Wow, not feeling the plot shift. Would've enjoyed this much more if it stuck with the evil haunted house storyline tricking the girl into finding lost items/ghosts. Adding in a new group of people (evil ghostbusters? I have no idea) and strange superhero/mecha powers? No, way too convoluted. Booooo. And not the good kind of 👻 boo. Disappointing. 1.5 Wow, not feeling the plot shift. Would've enjoyed this much more if it stuck with the evil haunted house storyline tricking the girl into finding lost items/ghosts. 3.5 stars. The house has another person now. This issue raised some questions that I want to see answered and added an entirely new element. Who were those guys??

I feel like this issue is trying to do too much without having the prior story built first. There's a ghost hunting team, but I have no idea what group they are or what they hope to accomplish. I'm still confused as to what is happening with the series. (view spoiler)[ Ami is attacked by a ghostly VHS. Buzz arrives in his ghost mech suit to save Ami from the VHS. Buzz saves Ami. It's clear Ami doesn't realize what happened to the Nuclear Bastards. Buzz tells her the house killed them and it seem I feel like this issue is trying to do too much without having the prior story built first. I'm not sure why Ami trusted this haunted house so easily?? I'm confused (hide spoiler)]

3.5/5 stars, rounded up for style and for how much fun this series is. So yes, I am really enjoying this series; Dan Watters has stumbled onto a hit premise with this entire series, so much so that I put aside all of my other readings today to dig into it on release. This story is incredibly interesting, but I do have some issues with it right now. The pacing is really off; while the action sequence in this issue was incredible, better than I could have inspected, everything else felt like it we 3.5/5 stars, rounded up for style and for how much fun this series is. The pacing is really off; while the action sequence in this issue was incredible, better than I could have inspected, everything else felt like it went by in a rush. Ami's reunion with Buzz felt especially rushed, as did the confrontation between Ami and the House at the end of the issue. Overall, all the ideas and art are definitely there; fantastic all around. It's just some of the pacing feels off.

While I still enjoyed this one, I do think that I am confused about where the story is going, which is sad because I was loving it. The art and style are obviously really great.

New characters and a new plot? Not really caring. Why mess up a good thing?
