They're one of the first couples to resonate and things honestly go super well for them. Except...well, except for one teeny, tiny thing. Nora likes things a little rough in bed and Dagesh has no idea that's even a thing. Nora's willing to push what she needs aside because she's happy in every other way, but Dagesh knows something is bothering his mate. Once Nora's wants come out in the open things take a while to get hashed out. Dagesh has a hard time wrapping his head around using dominance and/or pain to bring pleasure. He definitely doesn't want to hurt Nora, but she needs that little something extra to be satisfied. So they have to find a happy medium that doesn't cross Dagesh's hard line, but which still satisfies Nora. Like I said, I adore these big, blue barbarians and the ladies who they're matched with. Big, blue barbarian love all around! -Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal

It’s so sad to hear this is the last Ice Planet Barbarian book because it’s been a wonderful journey. But that being said us fans have talked RD into starting another series on the planet so I know if we beg and plead we may just be able to get more, perhaps about the next generation or even a new ship landing on Not Hoth. 😘🙏🏼😘 I’m still waiting to see if/how all her series’ will converge because I’m still hoping that’s a real thing and not just a pipe dream. That being said this was such a bittersweet and adorable read to end out the series. I think this was also the naughtiest of the series and that’s saying a lot for alien men who like to get down with their mates nonstop. The heroine Norah likes her kink and once she got over her fear of rejection she did a wonderful job bringing her mate into the fold and making him feel comfortable with satisfying her needs. I think a lot of the miscommunication between them was mostly because of the language and alien/human barriers standing in their way. A spanking to her mate is akin to a beating and so it’s up to Norah to naughty up her man and introduce him to this side of human culture 😏. I really enjoyed this book. I think Ruby handled the realm of light kink and BDSM very well. In her usual RD fashion this shouldn’t turn off those who don’t much like those topics as she barely brushes the surface and keeps things pretty tame. It was a super fast read and had quite a few character drop ins so it was nice to see old faces. The story was a cute wrap up to a couple that never got their full dues as they so quickly fell in love and gave into resonance unlike many of their stubborn peers lol.

I have been a long time fan of this series but the stories were starting to have a same old same old feeling. There is sometimes not enough conflict in a book where the ending is even more predetermined than in most romance novels. Here though the author did a good job introducing some conflict into the pairing of the main couple. The story focuses on personality conflicts that happen after the parasite joins them up as they learn to cohabit and build a relationship. So kudos to the author.

Not me over here crying because this is the last book in the original IPB series. What a ridiculous notion. I would never. So I've been waiting for Nora and Dagesh ever since book three when Kira said that Nora likes being spanked in the bedroom because she can hear her and Dagesh when they have sex, and from that moment I was here for it. Dagesh arranging a Jewish wedding ceremony for Nora was also adorable. I'm going to miss the original tribe so much but hopefully we'll continue to occasionally see them in the Icehome series.

This series is why I got Kindle Unlimited, and it was a wonderful decision! Ruby Dixon makes such good comfort reads where people fall in love and learn how to fit together as a couple. Something a little different Really glad we got a book on Nora and Dagesh and their kinkiness that's mentioned briefly in the book with Kira in it, right at the beginning. Nora needs a little something exxxtra to help her find the O face and she has to figure out how to get that with her mate, who cherishes and is gentle. It's a fun read and definitely hits all the right spots on some light fun, safe consensual bdsm. Sad to see the end of the original group but there is still ice home to visit. A fitting end to a marvelous SF romance series How fitting that for the last book in the original Ice Planet Barbarians series, we come full circle to the couple that immediately resonated when the first group of girls got their khuis. How fitting that we see how well Nora and Dagestan work together as a couple. How fitting that we see how both need to grow and adapt and adjust to one another to make theirrelationship work. And what a joy it is to visit with the original IPB tribe one more time.

Another fun IPB book that I really enjoyed and the last one in this series. I binge read the first dozen or so books when I first discovered this author and I adore the blue barbarians and their human mates. I have also read her dragon series, the corsairs, risdaverse, the MC novellas and have the bear shifters on audio to listen to. 💖 However, I think after 19 books, I agree with the author concluding the IPB series. There's only so much juice you can squeeze out of an orange. 3.5 stars and I l Another fun IPB book that I really enjoyed and the last one in this series. I’m so sad that this series is finally over. I started reading it back in 2015 and it’s crazy that this was the last book in the series. I am very hopeful for more spin offs 🤞🏼 I loved that this one, as the very last, was a little spicier than all the rest. Dixon’s portrayal of their growth as a couple was beautiful. It was an interesting mix of boundaries and compromise and new growth.

This is a good sci-fi alien romance, and an interesting addition to the Ice Planet Barbarians series. Dagesh and Nora were both likable, and I was glad when they found their HEA. This one gets 4 stars. I liked Dagesh and Nora, and thought it was interesting that Ruby used their relationship to show how couples with different sexual preferences can find a way to enjoy each other. Nora's desire for light BDSM was a shock for Dagesh, since he couldn't imagine ever hurting his mate (in his culture, mates were to be protected and loved gently) -- and it was interesting to see them find a way for both of them to enjoy sex. I liked that they still loved each other in spite of their differences, and it was sweet how he tried so hard to make sure she was happy. Overall, their journey to sexual satisfaction was sweet, and I liked how they were both willing to work to find a solution to their problem. My rating system is below. 1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it. 2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws. 3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating. 4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one. 5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

The last of the original Ice Planet Barbarian novels . . . Man, it's truly the end of a fucking era! Or, I guess, the end of an era of a whooooole lot of fucking :D I have to say that I really expected Nora and Dagesh's story to be as lackluster as Megan and Cashol's, seeing as it featured kink, which isn't Dixon's forte. Unlike Megan's foot fetish, though, Nora's extremely light BDSM kink was handled really well. I so appreciated seeing an honest discussion about consent happen between the main couple, particularly in that Dagesh's boundaries and limits were treated with the same level of respect as Nora's. He even had a safe word for when things got too intense for him, because as we know (and love), our blue boys are the ultimate wish fulfillment fantasy in that physically or sexually harming women is literally disgusting to them. Excuse me while I cry T.T There was a really sweet cyclical sense of completion here, too. Nora and Dagesh's story took us back to the beginning of this massive series; it featured the original crash, the (now collapsed) original tribal cavern, and co-starred many of the original survivors. But it brought us back to the present, too, some nine or ten years down the road, when the tribe is settled in their new village and has ballooned into this vibrant community full of kids and connections. It was really sweet and simple. No drama, no thwarted expectations, no cliffhangers . . . just gentle, predictable, comfortable closure. This series was such a comfort to me during these past two years. Prior to 2020, I really wouldn't have called myself a romance or erotica reader, but Dixon's work was (and is) pretty much the only stuff I can stomach right now. The gentleness of her heroes, the devotion and tenderness of her core romances, the guaranteed happy endings, and the formulaic certainties of her writing soothed my spirit. It sounds silly, maybe, because they're just fluffy erotica novels . . . but these genres exist to provide happiness to people, to give them a place to escape that's safe when things in real life aren't. These last few years haven't been safe, but Dixon's Ice Planet Barbarian series has been, and I'm so grateful I took it up during this time of all times.

It was really great, I loved Dagesh and his will not to hurt Nora and I loved that Nora was frustrated with being treated like a doll. I especially loved the last scene where every IPB character was revisited. I have to say I'm in love with the idea of a next gen series, if it's something Ruby is willing to explore. Especially with Anna and Analay and all the children of those characters we love!! So Ruby, if you're into that, I'm here!! Anyway, as always, read this book, read this series and all the works of Ruby, it's all hella worth it!!

Yas! Finally! The best flashback I've read yet! I just have to say that I absolutely lived this story and I relate. I'm so happy we finally breached into kinky territory and I love how the author approached the subject. I really liked how Dagesh had his own safeword. I feel like these books don't just write these happy, unrealistic characters. They're human, with many different flaws, hangups, or unique personality traits. I feel like she has a colored crayon for every person in here, and you can Yas! Finally! The best flashback I've read yet! I just have to say that I absolutely lived this story and I relate. This book is bittersweet because its the last IPB but it's not the last on the planet (thank goodness)!

I adore Ruby Dixon and her Blue Aliens, I do. Henceforth 4 stars. For all the beautiful books and short stories so far. This one in particular, did not do it for me. The only positive outcome is that I really liked Dagesh. I'm not sure about Norah. It was a super fast read with super steamy scenes, yet the ending gave me a headache. Everyone was there, in the end. Everyone! All those names... the end scene gave me a whirlwind of whiplash rather than emotions, rather like a distorted Star Wars end I adore Ruby Dixon and her Blue Aliens, I do. Henceforth 4 stars. I'm being overly dramatic, sheesh! All in all; Story= super cute! Aliens = all the way, hell yeah! Sexy times = Dagesh is the daddy! Enjoy it! I can't wait for the next one

I'm sad to see the series end and I hope Ruby decides to write a serious about the Next Generation.

Sad to hear this is the last book in the Ice Planet series. Good to know that Ice Home series will still be going on. Interesting to have Nora's book be the last, when it's more flash backs than current real time Ice Planet. The ending was sad but RD paid homage to all the previous characters and their children. Maybe one of those will speak to RD in the future and we will see "the next generation". This was definitely a mournful book, nothing really exciting and all about learning the mate that Sad to hear this is the last book in the Ice Planet series. No action, no danger and no anxiety, just a sweet story of learning about the person you will be building a life with, and making the best of what is presented. Writing was top notch as usual. Well worth your time and $$. Read via Kindle Unlimited
