If you're reading this, then we have something in common .... Whether it's a love of getting crafty, meticulously organising or making fun-shaped snacks! I find it hard to sit still, but losing myself in a craft project or tidying a drawer is my form of meditation. Such a fun, easy afternoon read! I'm finding that I'm edging towards books like this more often lately (anything to give the impression that I've got my sh!t together 🤔). This pains me to write this review. I am a massive fan of Stacey Solomon, I think she is funny, creative and all-around such an amazing individual. This book, however, was not funny or creative. Ok, let me start from the beginning. 1. This book is broken down into sections based on the time of day, ie morning, afternoon etc. Each section has a subsection of "makeup" ideas and snacks. Each of these "ideas" were ALL (yes, I mean all) are on her Instagram page. There is nothing extra. Some of the ideas have drawing of them, (which are very pretty) however others had no pictures. (Don't worry though, you can see them on her Instagram page). 2. As previously stated each section is based on the time of day. As a result, Stacey tells us her daily routine. Now, this sounds like a great idea, however, in my head, I was a little all over the place. Let me explain. Stacey would begin saying her daily routine is getting the boys ready for school etc, then share her snack ideas, then she will go on and explain how she cleans her garden or wardrobe etc and then proceed to share a makeup idea. Each chapter would continue in this fashion. As much as it looks good on paper, in reality, it was a little all over the place, in my opinion. I believe it would have been more beneficial to break the sections/chapters up like so, Chapter 1 Daily Routine, Chapter 2. Cleaning and organising, Chapter 3 Makeup ideas, and so on. 3. The last 10% of the book was better laid out. For example, one chapter was based on special occasions. Within this chapter, Stacey describes a holiday such as Birthdays and she would share her thoughts, snacks and makeup ideas. It was laid out similar to the previous chapters of the books, but it wasn't as "miss-matched". I knew everything in this section would be about special occasions, unlike the previous chapters that jumped around a little too much. 4. I did enjoy the drawing, and they were extremely pretty. In saying that, I missed actual pictures. I thought there would be at least one family picture or even step by step pictures of Stacey making her creations. If you follow Stacey and are hoping to get new ideas, I would not recommend this book at all. This is such a shame because as I previously stated, I am a massive fan of Stacey and I was looking forward to this book for such a long time.

Great book. Can understand her so much and for parents, it shows your not alone. She is someone who you can relate to. All the craft tips are fantastic. Something good to keep coming back to for ideas.

Such a great book. Easy to read (big type) and interesting because instead of just a block of text it has lovely snippets, quotes, recipes, crafts etc to break up the narrative. It was like having a friend over for a cuppa, I forgot I was reading at times and instead I just enjoyed it as if I was having a conversation with with a friend over tea and cake. I do follow Stacey on Instagram and what I liked about the book is it was completely true to her. There were no parts that felt written/guided Such a great book. It was like having a friend over for a cuppa, I forgot I was reading at times and instead I just enjoyed it as if I was having a conversation with with a friend over tea and cake. I do follow Stacey on Instagram and what I liked about the book is it was completely true to her. There were no parts that felt written/guided by someone else, you could tell it was 100 authentically Stacey. I have a lot in common with Stacey so I felt a lot of this spoke to me on a personal level, especially when discussing her children and having her eldest while she was still young plus her mental health challenges. What made this such an inspiring read was that Stacey talks so freely and shares her views without pretending to be something she's not or promoting things just because she gets paid for it so when she reccomends something then you know she's doing it because she genuinely likes it. That is probably why she is one of the UKs most loved people because she's down to earth and real which are not common qualities in the age of a filter sadly. The recipes are literally all so delicious and I cannot wait to try them! I've told my kids we will make the breakfast bake at the weekend as it looks epic! Plus as someone who could ruin beans on toast, I like how simple the recipes are and easy to fit in with family life, top marks for that one 👍🏻 One of the things I'll take away from this is Stacey's advice to not look at things in an overwhelming way. For example she says rather than saying "I'm going to clear this whole room" she says instead say "I'm going to clear this corner". Such a simple switch that will undoubtedly remove that overwhelming feeling when tidying. I also love the advice of taking everything out and laying it out on the floor to properly see what it is you have. We have so many drawers that are just filled with rubble and I guarantee some things in there have moved house with us 5 times and never been anywhere but the drawer! My weekend plans are to blitz those drawers and see what lies within..... I'm fully expecting a Nokia 3310 charger to be floating around and specific currency from countries who've had the euro for decades!! Stacey's personality seeps through every page in this book, it's infectious! You will find yourself smiling away at life, not just hers but your own too, the book makes you feel like you are getting it right. And that you're not alone in your thoughts. We all have those moments with our pickles (kids), especially right now, where they drive us mad and vice versa but ultimately we know we would do anything for them and I think Stacey does a good job of reminding you that you are doing a good job and that some days will be disastrous but it doesn't mean you are a lifelong failure. The cover on this book is lush, literally so gorgeous and I'm made up as it matches my gold leaf bookmark perfectly which is from Amazon so I'd deffo reccomend having that too! Finally, the crafting ideas in this book are great but perhaps the best thing is that it reminds you that there is always a way to reuse/recycle everything! I love crafting so theres loads of ideas that I'm going to have a go with but mainly its reminded me that a quick google/youtube search will bring up heaps of ideas on how to use that broken/empty item. I'm loving the ideas for old perfume bottles especially, great plan. I think if you are a fan of Stacey Solomon then you will really feel her energy channelled through this book and into the room with you. If you're not specifically a fan/follower of hers then I think you'll appreciate all the hints, tips and ideas in the book anyway. I hope this is just the first of many books to come with Stacey's positive outlook on life and ability to bring organisation to chaos without leading an unrealistic family life. X

I recently got this book on audible and listened to it over two days. I loved everything about it. While throwing in some tips too! We all know those recipes are brilliant especially how creative they look on her Instagram stories! Listening to the book made me feel like I knew Stacey, her personality and how she spoke so freely throughout was incredible. The thing I like about Stacey is that she is just a genuine person, doesn’t pretend to be something else, doesn’t go hard on the promoting online etc. Whenever she recommends something it is so very clear that it’s because she loves it and wants to share with the world. The honesty she shows and how it’s perfectly okay if you feel a little overwhelmed and think “I’m just going to tidy this small area instead of putting too much on myself to tidy the whole thing”. I’m a huge fan of Stacey, I love seeing her posts and stories on Instagram. She is such a wonderful mum and fiancé. I adore her creativity and passion for things. I’m so excited to see further updates on Pickle Cottage! What a stunning home with a beautiful garden. Highly recommend this book, whether it’s the physical copy or the audiobook. Definitely go and purchase! 🌿🤍

In some ways this is quite a simple book but in others it’s actually quite meaningful, helping to give focus and calm to a busy mind. I do follow Stacey on Instagram purely for her home based activities and I could hear her voice throughout this book. It is her through and through, and it’s really quite endearing. She has made me simple countless times as I read. Her personality is spilled across every page. I like how easy she makes tasks and affordable too. As someone who loves crafts and organising, I was drawn to this book. It is a book exploring how the author organises her life and still carves out time for herself despite having children and with a part-time job. SS can do no wrong in my eyes - this latest book is testament to that! Part autobiography, part tips, hacks and crafts, I absolutely adored this book- from its amazing front cover and theme 🍃 to the way I can literally hear Stacey saying everything I read😂 If you’re moving house or looking for ways to organise or maybe even need a hand with things to do for your kids - it’s a great read. This book was exactly what you’d expect from Stacey Solomon; positive, upbeat and full of handy tips and tricks for tidying and organising your space. I loved all of the snack ideas and ‘make ups’ and have tried a few already. I honestly thought I was going to enjoy this book a lot more than I did, but I had a different expectation as well. This is definitely not a “how to book” with many craft projects to try, there’s maybe 10 projects and the rest are recipes and pretty much what a blog would be. Since I’m a vegan the recipes weren’t very useful, and knowing her’s and her family’s day-to-day wasn’t really useful and at times boring. Very disappointed with the book. The book pretty much just goes over what stacey has already put up on her Instagram. The drawings are good but I thought we would be seeing real life photos of her crafts or some new crafts that she hasn't shared yet or even photos of Stacey herself. The things she talks about are pretty much every day life that parents already do anyway. Well done to Stacey for achieving this but it's definitely not what I expected and even had to skip some bits Very disappointed with the book. I love Stacey Soloman and follow her on all platforms, but this book is very repetitive 🙄. Everything that is in the book has already been shared all over her Instagram. I enjoy watching Stacey's Instagram stories and following her home life/craft projects - she always seems down to earth and organised. I picked up this book during my weekly shop and enjoyed it more than I thought I would! Lots of tips, crafts and recipes to try out. Most of the projects are things shared on her Instagram already (a good thing for most probably) so I felt it could have had more new ideas, I read it pretty quickly as a result. I've got nothing against Stacey, she seems like a nice lady, I'm just not a particular fan. This is a sweet book and if you are a fan, I imagine you will love it. If you follow Stacey on Instagram, I imagine you'll already have come across most of the contents. I was left thinking "Oh bless her" but not taking anything of real value from the book. I love Stacey Solomon, and I love organising/sorting stuff (ask pretty much anyone that knows me personally), so this was always going to be a winner with me. Can I just say that I love Stacey! I’ve followed her for a long time on Instagram and love that she is so happy and down to earth. There are some lovely ideas in this book and lots of positive messages to remind ourselves to give ourselves a break sometimes, we can’t do it all. I think the book misses actual photos of the projects (although the drawn pictures are beautiful) well done Stacey xx

Not well written, jumbled up and nothing new, also advice such as "Google it", and all of the ideas have been around for years, and there's a lot of repetitive vocabulary throughout the book. However Stacey is a real sweetheart, a really kind hearted joy filled, motivated soul and this rubs off in her book. I love Stacey Solomon, and watch all her Instagram stories but unfortunately there was nothing in this book that I hadn’t already seen on her Instagram (with the exception of the seasonal chapter at the end), and I found that her content didn’t translate well into book form, I much prefer seeing it on social media.

I love following Stacey on her Instagram account and got the book for more inspiration. The vast majority of the topics, crafts and snacks I had already seen on her stories but it was nice to see them written down and will be great to refer back to. I enjoyed her style of writing and the book has a happy feel about it.
