Is it against the rules, you bet. With a new, different blackmail attempt, our guys stick together and find the brightness. I would have liked more heat, and a deeper bond between our guys, but I liked the younger/older, so I am happy. Nice epilogue. Enjoy ! ======

3.5 stars This wasn't my favorite of the series which is too bad because I was really looking forward to their story. I still liked the characters but I really wish there was more to it. It seemed to need to be longer for everything that happened, IMO. 3.5 stars This wasn't my favorite of the series which is too bad because I was really looking forward to their story. Great one to end the series! This might shape up to be one of my new favorite series, and a surprising fact given that I did not set out wanting to read it since its military based. This might shape up to be one of my new favorite series, and a surprising fact given that I did not set out wanting to read it since its military based. As with the other books, several elements are interwoven with each individual books and we had had glimpses of General David Winter and Christian from books past. So it was with anticipation, and a touch of dread that a May-December romance would be written well enough for me to like, that I approached this final book in the series. Don't get me wrong, I do love me a good May-December because I have a penchant for older guys myself, but some of the age gap romances I had touched on previously just felt too forced, and focused too much on the age differences, the age of the older person in the relationship and not much else. This though was totally fun and seriously hot. The age differences were of course touched on, but not to an extent where you feel sorry for the "old git". It was more of an observation on the level of differences in their personalities, maturity and communication than anything else. The fact that they had an age difference did not in anyway detract from how well they suited and complimented on each other. I liked David's seriousness and steadfast approach to his job but also getting glimpses of his personality out of uniform. And I loved Chrisitan's loyalty and his resourcefulness in handling issues but also his fun and playful side. The both of them exuded great chemistry and their sexual comparability was off the charts here. That might very well be my love of older men tinting my glasses, but who cares. The plot was great, and I did very much enjoy the blackmail storyline as well as leading up to the disgusting Phillip character being revealed to be the asshole mastermind of it all. Oh yes, I figured it out pretty early on, but it still brought me a certain measure of surprise when it was revealed it was him after all. That blackmail plot weaved pretty seamlessly into the whole story of David and Christian coming together, and i thoroughly enjoyed Christian jumping in to best that dastardly Ethan from getting his way and a fat check. I also enjoyed the fact that the attraction between David and Christian was slow and simmering and that the gratification came later on, instead of them jumping each other first chance they have. Really, really great series and I do wish there were more books featuring the men of Fort Dale. Will be revisiting this series many times to come in future.

I adored this piece! The build up was slow and beautiful, the characters were fun and unique. The plot was interesting and creative. All around this was a well written and well performed story. Michael Ferraiuolo did a fantabulous job with this story. He always brings life to all the characters he writes. I love his work and always look for stuff he’s done over other narrators.

This book.... May/December is not my usual thing. Sometimes it's cringe worthy in my head thinking of such an age difference, but when it's done will? I couldn't stop. I have a bad feeling after reading b the fourth book that marco, who we liked because he was the good guy turning Dean loose... Turned out to be the "friend" mentioned towards the end by the jerk phil. The fact that all of these stories are happening over the same period of time is fun. You get little tidbits of everyone's romances or thoughts about things that happened in the other books.. it's awesome truly lol. I don't want to say goodbye to this base though. I feel so attached to all the men here. I was hoping and maybe paired ricardo and marco up in my head... But now.... Ricardo deserves someone better. Way better, plus I need to see Matt and Nick fix things. This entire series had me wanting more so why am I only leaving one review tonight? Because I want to spend more time finding more to read

Of course, David's life gets even crazier when an ex-fling blackmails him with a video of the two of them. To make matters even more awkward for General Winters, Christian ends up seeing the video, and gets a little turned on? and a whole lot flustered... The two men must now work together to stop the blackmailer, and in the meantime they might just realize that the attraction they feel isn't as one-sided as they both think. Both men have popped up in the first four books for a while now, and I have been eagerly waiting for their book to happen. I honestly wasn't expecting Christian and David to be the focus of a novel, maybe because there wasn't a lot of interaction between them in the other books, but it was a surprise that I enjoyed! I really found myself drawn to David. He was so stoic and serious, but yet his interactions with Christian he leaves his guard down and is such a sweet guy. I love this series, and I highly recommend reading this book!

Very nice story! Finally, great to have Gen Winters personalized. Christian is more amazing than in previous stories. Their challenges and how they handle them are entertaining. I would have liked a longer story to follow their lives. I would have liked to hear more about Lily and Mary, Christian's sisters. Excellent series. Mr Alexander has done an excellent job! Like I said in reviews of the previous books in this series, I like the fact the events were simultaneously going on in all the stories. It was a different approach then I'm use to and it was wonderful. Only thing I didn't too much like in this book was the epilogue. I was happy with Christian's choice in career but where it took him leads me to think that him and the general might not have a long lasting relationship but it was lovely regardless. It didn't make me change the rating one bit...Still loved it! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Now, you might ask why I would object to too much sex and I would clarify my observation by saying there seemed to be a need to make the heat between a 46-year-old man and his 25-year-old assistant seem unquestionably legitimate. I think it could have been done with a bit more subtlety, but it still worked in the end.

Age gap and a workplace relationship. Oh yes, this was so good! Both Christian and David (or, well, General Winters because it’s so sexy to call him with his title) are great characters. I loved their relationship so much, even before they started anything between the two of them, the ease with which they were with each other was a true pleasure to read! I loved how fiercely protective and loyal Christian is, and I loved reading about them adjusting to the new circumstances when they start their Age gap and a workplace relationship. He decides to treat Christian to dinner and when they two of them are alone they find out how much more they enjoy each others company. You will love this book as much as the other ones in this series. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

4.5 stars.. An okay start, I'd read some of this series books in the past although not in order and have enjoyed reading them. This one I grabbed just because of the title of the book. I loved the big age difference and also the work colleagues forbidden romance theme. A little backward blackmailing causes David trouble. I liked Christians funny banter with David behind closed doors. Holly smokes this has some hot sexy scenes. Told in both POVs. I loved the ending of this and had to giggle, just 4.5 stars.. An age-gap, workplace romance with all of the snark and heart I have come to expect from Romeo Alexander and the HEA I was definitely not disappointed with! Of course there are twists and turns, everyone gets in their way, including the General and Christian himself, what kind of book would it be otherwise?? :D But because these men are strong-willed, strong at heart, and know what they want it all comes around in the end. With plenty of hot, steamy times in the middle!! Hot and heartwarmingly m An age-gap, workplace romance with all of the snark and heart I have come to expect from Romeo Alexander and the HEA I was definitely not disappointed with! 3 stars! David (the silver fox) is a general in the army and in charge of Fort Dale. He's bisexual and tends to like his men younger and his woman older. He's been single for a long time, so even though he's in his late 40's he doesn't know what to do with Christian, his young assistant. Christian was such a fun guy. He's quite a bit younger than David, being in his mid to late 20's but he's very mature. He's also very optimistic, happy and such a nice person. This book was good but I found it a 3 stars! The dynamic between the two heroes was my favourite part.

"Assistant to the General of Fort Dale isn’t the easiest job, but Christian loves it. Making General Winter’s life easier is worth every bit of hassle. He’s a good man, and Christian respects him…a lot." This was very good. Well written. Enjoyed the plot, and characters. So much turmoil, and policies standing in their way. I got curious about General Winter and Christian from the previous book - Here We Go Again. Imagine my excitement when I found out this book pairs them up. Sadly it didn't meet up my expectation for its level of passion and j humor. Regardless, I still love these characters the most out of the series. So good! This series was so good. I hate to see it end but am so very happy with how it ended! Love can strike from anywhere no matter the consequences. Let me just say Christian and David had roadblocks every time they turned around and with quick thinking, bravery and a little underhanded play they made it through. So glad I stumbled across this series and am now on to the newest series!

I think each story that comes out in this series just gets better than the next. I loved Christian's and David's story. Christian had David's back on and off the clock. Loved their story. These two guys got the HEA they deserved. Although the ending was a little sad, I could see their future. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. it was disappointing, to say the least. i was so excited for general winter story so ofc my expectation was high, and yes i loved christian and david together, but i feel like theres not enough build up for them. idk, feel rushed and too short. but im glad with the no unnecessary drama tho. so 2.3 i guess
