‘They’d have such fun in the end’ Kelly Curtiss offers a terrific new children’s book that is not only beautifully illustrated and written in excellent rhyming format, it also carries a fine way to explain the changes that the arrival of new siblings create in families. This is Book 2 in Kelly’s ELLY ELEPHANT series. The story opens warmly – ‘Elly Elephant was never sad, she really loved her mom and dad.’ And into this family comfort, Elly’s mother announces Elly will have a brother soon. This is Book 2 in Kelly’s ELLY ELEPHANT series. The story opens warmly – ‘Elly Elephant was never sad, she really loved her mom and dad.’ And into this family comfort, Elly’s mother announces Elly will have a brother soon. The brother arrives, is very small and Elly doesn’t like him because he is so small and her parents seem to dote on him, making Elly feel ignored. She runs away, meets her friends - monkey, lion cub, hippo – and they reassure her that having a new brother is great, sharing the joys they have found with siblings. Elly returns home, and recalling what her friends had shared, she knows that her new brother will be her friend Not only is the book entertaining, but also the lesson presented is excellent – the arrival of a new sibling is a time for joy – for all members of a family. Highly Recommended.

This is a cute book about a new brother or sister coming into the house. The illustrations are lovely in this rhyming book. Elly gets a new brother and his parents pay attention to him who cries a lot and not Elly. Elly runs away and friends find her. They tell her what it's like for them. I borrowed this book on a Kindle Unlimited website and so can you.
