Jerry Mintz gives a nice introduction to the topic. It doesn't get very deep, but it is a quick a read. The greatest value of the book is Jerry's survey of the different education alternatives and the options for democracy in education. That said, one wouldn't think of Jerry as having such strong opinions, I've never seen him as meek but he seems more apologetic than what he aparently is. Jerry Mintz gives a nice introduction to the topic. It doesn't get very deep, but it is a quick a read.
