The acronym stand for: Help, Organization, Preparation, and Education. Ms. Amos openly shares her family's experience caring for their mother with Alzheimer's while lending H.O.P.E to others. She gives practical advice on in home care, nursing facility options, as well as an indepth view at the disease itself and its effect on a family.  Included in this book are email correspondence between Ms. Amos and her siblings describing their observations on the state of their mother, care options, and personal feelings about what they are going through. The family shares their ups, downs, and occasional humorous moments as they band together for their mother's needs. This inside look can be quite valuable to other families experiencing the same thing offering a positive example and encouraging perspective.  Even though Alzheimer's can be a devistating disease, H.O.P.E for the Alzheimer's Journey describes a family who's faith in Jesus Christ has helped them to overcome the heartache with grace and a focus on the good things counting their blessings along the way. I recommend this book not only to those with loved ones facing Alzheimer's but also anyone working in elderly care positions. This book is insightful, educational, but most of all inspirational. This book was provided by the author via the interviews and reviews programs.
