Not my favourite of the Batman comics, it read too much like a narration recap and the story was a little convoluted and a little incomplete, which was a bit of a disappointment to me since the Dollmaker is one of the creepiest Batman villains. I feel there could have been so much more explored with his character, looking forward to seeing him in later editions, however, to see how much his storyline develops and what he's doing with The Joker. Faces of Death is a fun volume from writer/artist Tony Daniel. It sets up some interesting new villains but does little with them, and the ending is pretty anti-climatic. Tony Daniel is an awesome artist but he's also a damn good writer, and he seems to have gotten a handle on writing Batman. I enjoyed this volume and will be looking for more of Tony's work on the character. Faces of Death is a fun volume from writer/artist Tony Daniel. 25/100 (2018 Reading Challenge) No.4 in the Legend of Batman series, another new 52 entry. & I am still immensely enjoying them. This one from the Detective Comics series is a bit darker than previous entries. The doll maker is creepy. But there is a nice range of different villains over the graphic novel. Another enjoyable Batman story.
