Aaaaargh! Again. Why didn't Jill just use her magic to paint the office? It annoys me that she uses it freely to cheat at petty things but doesn't use it to do stuff she deserves. I know painting her office might not be noted as deserving, but she did settle several super natural cases that she didn't get paid for. I would also have enjoyed the fairy wing incident to have been a more involved investigation. Aaaaargh! Again. Why didn't Jill just use her magic to paint the office? Witch is Why The Search Began Review, Adele, love your Witch is Why series with all the twists and turns. Jill is an interesting character to say the least with her cheekiness and puns, plus the stage asides. Fascinating use of ordinary circumstances and three different worlds. I really like this series and highly recommend reading it to anyone interested in a wonderful story.

While I don't expect much from cozy mysteries, this series could easily be so much more with just a little more effort. I get that our protagonist is a witch and has an entire arsenal of magic at her disposal, but it would add depth to the series if she just had to work a little at using it. Fascinating! Adele Abbott can really spin a yarn! Her characters are really well defined and quite memorable, the mysteries are very entertaining and have a number of twists that keep the reader guessing. All held together with a healthy dose of humor!

Snake Oil Winky tricks Jill again. She gets relief from a very unexpected source. Jill fires her maid. Who she gets next is one of the funniest parts of the series. Grandma has plans for Ever. Of course she does. You'll never believe how characters are coming and going. I mean it. You'll never believe it. For relaxation, Jill takes a trip to the shore. No, not for shells, silly. She can get those from Betty. Theft is mostly the theme here. And you'll be surprised at the things stolen! Snake Oil Winky tricks Jill again. She gets relief from a very unexpected source. They just keep getting better ;-) I have just finished this ‘Witch’, number 22 in the series so far. Each book reads like the latest episode of a favourite tv show. The characters are all brilliant in their own unique ways, grandma and Winky still crack me up ;-) The plot with twists and turns throughout and the number of fantastic puns involving new character names are endless. The humour makes me chuckle as I’m reading. The mysteries continue. If you've read the series through to this book, you have a pretty good idea of the character development. I'm not necessarily a fan of all of the characters and their interactions and of course some of the obstacles put in place to drive the stories are too contrived, but I still can't put the series down. I like Jill, I love her big heart. She plays selfish and manipulative sometimes but she seems to be on the receiving end of the manipulation far more often than she is do The mysteries continue. I've enjoyed this series. It's fun, light and keeps me entertained. The author is excellent at coming up with quirky names and crazy situations. This is my go to book when I just want to sit back and giggle a little. I've enjoyed this series. It's fun, light and keeps me entertained. Top of the line Jill Jill is so busy in this one with various cases and events that there is only very short progress on the backstory. However, this is Jill in rare form, fun as always, with Winky et al supporting in fine style.

More questions, more answers Jill has a chance to finally rid herself of Leo Riley, the twins get puppies, the lighthouse needs candles and the pixie king needs help. Throw in a sandpit, a fairy murderer, and a soul snatcher and Jill has quite the full schedule.

So many mysteries to solve I really enjoyed reading this book about Jill’s many adventures. She is very busy dealing with things in her own life as well as solving all kinds of problems for others.

English (as a foreign language) These books 📚 are fun to read and I've worn my wiki out looking up the meaning of so many of the words and phrases the English use. It's also obvious why English Cuisine isn't the very popular around the world 🌎. Yuck!!! Book 22 Intriguingly wonderful. The story goes too fast and is over just as quick. I think this is the best one, maybe because the author doesn't have so many curbside remarks.
