Great shopping tips, motivation, at home work outs, recipes, ect. Will continue to scan through as I have this book another couple days. There's no such thing as fad diets or miracle weight loss, unless you are getting surgery. Count calories, work out, and don't forget to splurge sometimes! Sometimes you need to change your lifestyle. I haven't had a soda in over 3 months! Great shopping tips, motivation, at home work outs, recipes, ect. (2017) Excellent read with information about exercise, physiology and nutrition. Much is information frequently read, but new info as well. Great exercises for someone who wants to workout at home (or in a gym) and some good info for adding nutrition and taste to one's diet. This book was full of good advice, good methods, good thinking. I don't read much Women's Health magazine, but after reading this book I think I might start. The exercises emphasized are for beginners to intermediate workouts. But it has so much more than that, simple recipes and philosophies, great encouragement. I recommend this for anyone who has trouble getting started/sticking with their fitness plans. I think the biggest message this book has is that you should focus on your progress, and This book was full of good advice, good methods, good thinking. I'm currently training for my first marathon and I was so surprised when I won this book in a Goodreads Giveaway. I haven't yet gotten to try the exercises or recipes in this book, but I really love the motivational attitude behind the chapters. Despite being very athletic, I do find myself yo-yo-ing between periods of high-level fitness and laziness, so hopefully this book will help me even that out and keep a more consistent fitness regimen. Ok. I am buying this book. Seriously packed with useful stretches, exercises, posture corrections, and food ideas. The author stresses working out and food as lifestyle changes for the long run, not diets. I'm looking forward to trying some of her suggestions. Ok. I am buying this book.
