I have to say, I love me some Nadia G. She's funny, off the wall and completely unconventional, which is a nice departure from some of the other food personalities out there. While some of her recipes are a little too funky for my more traditional tastes, I totally dig her presentation and she explains the steps pretty well in her own unique style. I would definitely make a few of her recipes staples. I have to say, I love me some Nadia G. I really enjoyed her show on TV and jumped when I found out she had a cookbook. She's got this rockabilly Next-Gen don't-take-crap-from-no-one thing that I really like. Although I did bookmark a couple of her recipes, overall most of the recipes were pretty generic and all the TV gimmicks (half-naked men, the Greek boy etc) were a little over the top and made the whole thing just too busy. She has released another cookbook since this, so maybe it will be better. 2 stars. I really enjoyed her show on TV and jumped when I found out she had a cookbook. I'm totally addicted to Bitchin Kitchen so I was really glad when I found out that there are 2 cookbooks. I immediately went to my library and ordered both of them. Totally hilarious and I tried some of the recipes. The french toast one is amazing!!! I'm hoping to try next the raspberry trifle. Plus she is very, VERY easy on the eyes.... She's funny. She has funny quotes/sayings throughout her book. Would I cook/eat most of these dishes? Probably not. But I'm a picky eater. Maybe if I work with the recipes to suit my taste, then I might make them. Otherwise, I really just enjoyed reading her stuff. She's funny. She has funny quotes/sayings throughout her book. A reader, not a cooker. But then again, I don't watch Bitchin' Kitchen on TV for the food either. A reader, not a cooker. But then again, I don't watch Bitchin' Kitchen on TV for the food either.
