Kisses and kids abound in this collection of novellas that will warm your heart all winter long. One Winter Kiss - Lindi Peterson - Deena Ross travels to Ohio to try and sway her grandfather from making a big mistake, a mistake his neighbor Andrew has been encouraging. When a winter storm hits, and Deena is forced to stay with Andrew and his young son, Evan, Deena's vision of love is tested and she might lose her heart in one winter kiss. Childish Ways - Jenn Faulk - Kevin Peterson, a teacher at a small town elementary school, is unexpectedly reunited with Lisa Walker, a girl who spent most of their childhood tormenting and bullying him, when she comes back to town where she helps organize a winter carnival to benefit her niece's school. Lisa has no idea who he is, though, and as they work alongside one another and Kevin sees how much she has changed, he begins to question whether or not he can really trust her and let her into his life. The Baby & the Bachelor - Cindy K. Green - Playboy bachelor, Alec, discovers a baby on his doorstep only days away from being appointed to a political office, prompting him to appeal his assistant, Jane, for help. Misunderstandings and accusations from the press abound, leading Alec to wonder, even if he were prepared for a ready-made family, could sweet, church-going Jane ever find it in her heart to marry a sinner like him? For Tracy - Trisha Grace - One phone call led to Sarah Carter becoming the guardian of her favorite student, Tracy, while waiting for Tracy’s Uncle Keith to show up. But Sarah has no idea Uncle Keith was Keith Sutton, Hollywood’s most eligible bachelor, and doesn’t realize how much trouble she is heading for. Tropical Kiss Or Miss - Liwen Y. Ho - Therapist Olivia Chan can’t wait to escape it all—a failed marriage, a struggling practice, and her son’s recent health scare. The Hawaiian getaway she planned, however, gets rained on—quite literally—by a tropical storm and the unexpected arrival of her estranged husband Matthew, who’s determined to win her back. To Gain a Mommy - Tanya Eavenson - When Hope Michaels decides to face her past, she unknowingly purchases the house across the street from her former fiancé—the man her twin sister married, then widowed. Fire Captain Carl McGuire can put out any flame, except for the one Hope sparks within him—some things never change. Foolish Heart - Cindy Flores Martinez - Judy and Graham have feelings for each other, but they won’t admit it. After all, she lives in America and he lives in Scotland with his daughter, Mairi, who he could never leave to be with the woman he loves.

A Hawaiian getaway for Christmas may be just what Olivia needs in Tropical Kiss or Miss by author Liwen Y. Ho. Nope, I didn't read the blurb beforehand, and when I decided to take a break with this book, I expected a quick and light read to satisfy me in a quick and light kind of way. Quick, it was, and light--yes, I'd say so, as it didn't give me a "heavy" feeling. But there are little things in this romantic story that add substance to it, and I found the timeline it follows to be particularly interesting. It kept me on my toes! There was one scene where I felt the drama heightened abruptedly and a little unnaturally, but it didn't lessen my enjoyment of the story. I'd recommend this read to anyone who'll appreciate a short and sweet romance, light with substance. _________________ I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I read Tropical Kiss Or Miss by Liwen Y. Ho in this collection. This story quickly became one of my favorite novellas. I generally find these shorter stories feel rushed and don't draw me in. That was not the case with Tropical Kiss or Miss. I enjoyed the plot from beginning to end. I appreciated the fact that the author wanted to broach the subject of a troubled marriage. She showed the real emotions behind what both of them were experiencing. By the time I was reading the final chapter, I'd ha I read Tropical Kiss Or Miss by Liwen Y. Ho in this collection. Childish Ways by Jenn Faulk is a fun and romantic read. As always, the author uses humor and romance in a contemporary setting to share an inspirational message. Lisa, the heroine, being a new Christian gets involved with her niece's teacher to raise money for a playground. The teacher, and hot hero is a man she does not recognize from her childhood. Kevin is attracted to Lisa but is somewhat leary of her because of her mean girl past. The story is so good that I could not put the book down. This is a neat concept for a set. So far, I've only read Tanya Eavenson's To Gain a Mommy. I really enjoyed it. The kids in the story, Mary and Brody, just pop off the pages, and if there was no other reason to read it (there is!), these kids would make it worth the time. The romance is sweet and realistic and points the reader to Christ. Good stuff, Tanya! This is a neat concept for a set. So far, I've only read Tanya Eavenson's To Gain a Mommy. I really enjoyed it. Childish Ways is a sweet novella, perfect for a relaxing afternoon. This chick lit story is a quick, light read, perfect for unwinding at the end of the day or for when you wake up in the middle of the night and can't fall back asleep. To Gain a Mommy was a very sweet and heartwarming novella that I did not want to put down. All the characters jumped off the page and felt very real. I was rooting for Carl and Hope from the instant they first appeared on the page together. And I loved how Mary and Brody were scheming to get them together. One of my favorite aspects of this story was how God was woven all throughout, how the characters leaned on Him and trusted Him. I’ve loved everything I’ve read by Jenn Faulk, and Childish Ways was no exception! It’s easy to read in one or two sittings, but the story doesn’t feel rushed or cheesy like short novellas do sometimes. She always does a great job of weaving faith into her stories, making it feel believable and not forced. This one shows how God really can use any situation that’s happened in our lives to draw us closer to Him, and how His changes in our lives enables us show love and grace even to people who ha I’ve loved everything I’ve read by Jenn Faulk, and Childish Ways was no exception! Kevin is a kindergarten teacher whose painful childhood makes him care even more for his young students. Lisa also had a difficult childhood, and she has recently come to know Christ. Kevin and Lisa were brought together when he began planning a winter carnival for his school, and it turned out that her niece was in his class. The plot twist comes in when Kevin realizes he and Lisa had met before... It leads to a great story about God’s redemption and second chances at love. It’s a quick, sweet, very enjoyable read! I highly recommend this book, and anything else by Jenn Faulk too! ;)

Of this series I read "Childish Ways" by Jenn Faulk. "Childish Ways" is another sweet and sometimes spunky story. I loved reading about these two new characters, Kevin and Lisa. I enjoyed the theme of God's redeeming grace; how He can take us from our old childish behavior and create a new person. This story had a very realistic view of how the past can affect us and influence our thinking even when we are years away from those hurts and insults received. Regardless of how he had been treated as a child Kevin showed compassion and understanding toward Lisa even when she didn't know it! To watch their relationship develop was sweet and it was certainly charming. My only complaint was that it was over too soon! I recommend this for anyone who is looking for a funny, sweet, and clean romance to read.

Of this collection, I only read Liwen Ho's Tropical Kiss or Miss, which is a sweet Christian romance novella. I love to see authors willing to broach real-life, relatable issues. What a wonderful story. I read Liwen Ho's Tropical Kisses or Misses and I really liked it. I loved that the author added the story of when their love first started in college and then years later when Olivia is on vacation and her love for him seems to be total gone. Matthew's wooing is perfect and you can see Olivia's reactions start to soften. The pace is good: not too speedy and not slow but nice and steady. Of this set, I only read Childish Ways, by Jenn Faulk. I loved this novella, and I was able to finish it in one sitting, in a couple of hours in fact. I loved that Jenn wrote about a contemporary topic that most adults can identify with, and know that the impact of how children treat each other can carry over to adulthood.
