*Digital review copy provided by NetGalley & the publisher in exchange for an honest review.* Now, it is a first time for me reading DC Essential Graphic Novels catalog and for a free catalog, I find it a great reference source. I'm more of a Marvel girl, but lately with DC movies and series (thank you, Barry and Oliver...) I want to get more into the stories of DC Universe, especially of Vertigo imprint (American Vampire and Lucifer fan here ^^) but as "a newcomer", I can get a bit confused. *Digital review copy provided by NetGalley & the publisher in exchange for an honest review.* Now, it is a first time for me reading DC Essential Graphic Novels catalog and for a free catalog, I find it a great reference source. This catalog has been specifically built to help guide any new reader. I am not exactly new to the comic and graphic novels world, but I do appreciate a solid reading order lists and I really like this few sentences, just a little information next to each book that is in this guide. This is truly an interesting guide that gives an insight into the DC comic universe and gives a suggested order in which to read all of the comics. I definitely find this book very useful. Tho I would appreciate more of a strip comic (like introduction page) throughout the book to make it more fun to read.

Interesting that original art is being used in this catalog of DC graphic novels. Though it seems to be in mostly the same format as last year's. I wonder what's different. Wow. There are references to the new Batman vs Superman movie. And of course they have to cross-pollinate these books with related TV and movie properties. I have to say that I agree with a lot of the top 25. So many of these are iconic DC books. I've never heard of Daytripper. I'll have to check that one out. And Get Jiro! i Interesting that original art is being used in this catalog of DC graphic novels. Though it seems to be in mostly the same format as last year's. I wonder what's different. Wow. And what is Detective Comics: Faces of Death? Aw, man! I didn't get Dark Knight A True Batman Story from NetGalley. It sounds interesting. In this digital copy the pages seem to be out of order. Wait - no; they duplicated done of the Superman pages early on this book. This free book is recommended if you want to catch up on a bunch of the backlog of DC Comics that you might have missed. Thanks to NetGalley and DC Comics for a copy in return for an honest review.

Great guide! Where to start in the comics for seasoned readers and and new readers. Also explains the TV shows on today and the graphic novel influence. Shares where to start for characters. So it can be a great guide to being able to follow your favorite superhero. Also other non graphic novel info is available.
