So many box sets that are offered are full of stories already released, and many times, stories that were already available for free at one time or another. Not the case with Love’s Gift. Each story is a first, not before available. Not only did I purchase the set for myself, but I sent a set as a gift to my sister.

What an excellent collection of contemporary Christian Christmas stories! Their length is just right for a short read during a busy holiday season although some nights I couldn’t stop and read more than one. Love's Gift: 8 Christian Romances Celebrating the True Meaning of Christmas***** by Krista Phillips, Belle Calhoune, Debra Lynn Collins, Valerie Comer, Elizabeth Maddrey, Heather Gray, Christina Coryell and Lee Tobin McClain 1-Mistletoe in Montana***** by Belle Calhoune Brenna Santiago returns to her hometown of Merry, Montana after being away 8 long years pursuing an acting carrier. Needless to say, her time away did not go well for her—not only is she broke but her dreams are shattered as is her Love's Gift: 8 Christian Romances Celebrating the True Meaning of Christmas***** by Krista Phillips, Belle Calhoune, Debra Lynn Collins, Valerie Comer, Elizabeth Maddrey, Heather Gray, Christina Coryell and Lee Tobin McClain 1-Mistletoe in Montana***** by Belle Calhoune Brenna Santiago returns to her hometown of Merry, Montana after being away 8 long years pursuing an acting carrier. Needless to say, her time away did not go well for her—not only is she broke but her dreams are shattered as is her marriage. She soon learns her family's ranch is struggling and her ex-finance Luke Templeton is planning to buy her families ranch—making her homecoming even more strained. -Oh boy did the sparks fly when Brenna and Luke came face to face again! It is obvious they both had regrets from the past, but can they work through them and remain at least friends? I was hoping they could maybe start fresh. The bond between Brenna and her father was strong and especially sweet. Mistletoe in Montana is a sweet story of second chances at life and possibly love, forgiveness, a couple surprises in the storyline, strong faith and renewing of faith, hope and family pulling together in difficult times as well as the good times, making this a heartwarming Christmas story. 2-A Match Made for Christmas***** by Debra Lynn Collins How could Seirra Marshall's boyfriend just dump her via a text? What kind of guy would do that? Pushing her heartbreak down deep, she tries to keep busy at the boutique in the Briarwood, Alabama mall. Her friends have their own idea of how to get her over her heartbreak quickly—give her a special, very unusual gift for Christmas! Mall Security guard Corbin Whitley is “sweet” on Seirra and tries to stop by the boutique she works at as often as he can. Will she ever see her as more than just a friend? -I loved the way Seirra's friends came up with a very unique gift idea to cheer her up—shh, I am not telling. I like the way faith and prayer for God's guidance is very important to both Seirra and Corbin and is woven through the story. There is a mysterious admirer, who could it be? This is a really cute, heartwarming and humorous story covering forgiveness, hope, reconciliation, trust, faith and love. 3-Merry Kisses***** by Valerie Comer One thing Sonya Simmons hates is how the true meaning of Christmas has become so commercialized—and don't get her started on Santa. Adding to that, she and the other employees working at the mall toy store are forbidden to say “Merry Kisses...err Christmas” to their customers. Mall Santa volunteer, Heath Collins is a Christian and loves to make a difference in children's lives. Can Sonya and Heath find a way around their difference of opinions on how Christmas is celebrated? -I enjoyed the way Valerie Comer wove a delightful, faith-filled story capturing the very Spirit of Christmas. Heath became a favorite character with his heart-filled faith which is evident in all areas of his life. The children he interacts with is endearing and heartwarming, often bringing tears. I was hoping Sonya would open her heart more to all that God has for her. A hope-filled story. 4-Unwrapped**** by Christina Coryell Trina Miller has been invited to stay at Camdyn Taylor—her best friend's home—and partake in a homemade, traditional Missouri Christmas celebration. Camdyn's brother, Charlie, will be there too. Can she keep her feelings for him wrapped up tight? -I enjoyed the traditions of the Taylor family shared with Trina. Charlie soon became a favorite character—sharing his strong faith, as did Trina and the whole Taylor family. There are some unexpected surprises, few twists and turns in the storyline. There is much to be unwrapped in this cute, heartwarming story, including hope, love of family, faith and love. 5-An Informal Christmas***** by Heather Gray Child Life Specialist Rylie Durham is used to dealing with all sorts of people at the local hospital where she works. Why is it that Zach York seems to see her at her worst every time he visits? Both Rylie and Zach have much in common, including past hurts and heartaches. Can they work together and bring an Informal Christmas celebration to the children they both care about on the pediatric unit at the hospital? -I love what Rylie's mother had taught her when she was young—“not to merely act compassionate toward others, but to rather make compassion a part of her existence in the same way that eating, sleeping and breathing were”—what great advice for us all. Rylie and Zach are strong characters and I like the way their characters grew and developed in the story. The children on the pediatric unit captured my heart, especially a certain young girl who faced a possible serious diagnosis. As a retired Oncology RN this type of story draws me into the characters, their lives and situations and story. A great story of compassion, hope, forgiveness, second chances, faith and love. 6-Operation Mistletoe***** by Elizabeth Maddrey Victoria—Tori Spencer hates Christmas and is not happy when assigned to write an article about Gabe Robertson's winter wonderland. She knew Gabe when they were in collage and she can't picture him doing something like the winter wonderland or write an article about him. Gabe Robertson is a changed man since his college days—he is now a Christian and his winter wonderland is a perfect way to shine his light for Jesus. Can Tori get past the “old” Gabe and see the man he has become? -I so enjoyed Gabe and his heart for God and the way he brings the true meaning of Christmas to the community and beyond. I felt Tori's pain of the past and hoped she would open her heart to Gabe and God. The secondary characters bring the story to life in a special way, impacting those around them. Forgiveness—even of oneself, letting go of the past, second chances, faith and love make this an inspirational, heartwarming story. 7-A Bond for the Holidays***** by Lee Tobin McClain Emily Sterns has a long held secret—18 years long—that would be devastating to her family if it ever comes out. When a sudden family emergency requires the secret to be revealed right before Christmas, will it destroy her family? -The impact of a revealed secret is clearly shown in this family and beyond. I could feel their heartache, broken trust, bitterness and hoped they could find healing. As the story unfolds we are taken through many raw emotions—some bringing tears, forgiveness, hope, reconciliation, love, faith, miracles—how God indeed heals broken people. This is powerful, inspirational and emotional story. 8-A (kinda) Country Christmas***** by Krista Phillips What could be better than owning and working in the Bethlehem's Boutique in Gatlinburg, TN where everyday is Christmas? Sadie Jenkins devotes her life to the boutique and her teenage daughter, Maribelle. Enter wealthy Nate Myers who travels the world and literally falls at her feet. Can kinda-country and a world traveler have anything in common? -It is interesting how Sadie has her life all planned out but God has other plans for her—been there myself. I really like the characters in this story and the way they interact together—not always smoothly of course. They have their past hurts and heartaches that impact their lives, but there is hope. A (kinda) Country Christmas is filled with humorous situations—some had me laughing out loud, uncertainties, letting go of past hurts and ideas, hope, love and faith—loved the inspirational aspect woven throughout the story. ~I received an e-book copy of this book from TBCN and Elizabeth Maddrey for my review, this is my honest review~

Can you go home again for Christmas? Belle Calhoune’s inspirational romance novella says yes, and it’s particularly exciting when you find your Mistletoe in Montana. I didn't care too much for this story. It was well-written, but I couldn't connect with the characters. Brianna was your typical spoiled princess, and Luke has loved her forever, but even though he is angry at her (understandably) for jilting him in favor of marriage to an older movie director who owned a mansion, less than two hours after her arrival back in town he's trying to kiss her. I didn't like either him or her and even though Ms. Calhoune is traditionally published (thus the well-written part) I wasn't impressed enough with her voice or style to look up any of her previous books. 2 stars. Debra Lynn Collins wonders if you can actually give someone a man for Christmas… and A Match Made for Christmas is one Christian romance that answers that question! This one was definitely a 5 star review for me. LOVED A Match Made for Christmas. A very sweet romance by an author I hadn't read before I will look up more of her books. Valerie Comer introduces us to a disillusioned toy store clerk and a mall Santa who don't see eye-to-eye on the whole Christmas season, but that's nothing a few Merry Kisses can't cure. Loved, loved, loved this story. So cute. You can see the full review earlier on my blog. I loved how the heroine improvised on saying the forbidden Merry Christmas and instead, accidentally said, Merry Kisses. I also loved the faith message in this story. Valerie Comer is one of my favorite contemporary authors. 5 stars. And Christina Coryell’s Unwrapped takes traditional Christmas celebrations to the next level when heroine Trina Miller falls for her best friend’s brother. Another new to me author and a 5 star read. LOVED getting to know Trina and Charlie, and I will definitely look up more of Christina's books. I like the voice in these stories. First person in Trina's POV, but Charlie is very good at letting us know what he is thinking. A sweet Christmas romance. If you like Christian fiction with hospital settings, Heather Gray’s An Informal Christmas will warm your heart as her hero and heroine overcome their differences to help sick kids. This story started out with the hero and heroine disliking each other, but as the chaplain so aptly put it, when someone brings out the worst in each other they usually end up in bed together... Rather shocking statement, that, but the point is the worst turned to the best and it turned out Zach had a lot on his mind and heart and what he was doing was beyond beautiful. Riley started out rather unlikable but with her warming up to Zach came a new, softer character that wasn't all business and was actually nice. Good story, good message, recommended. 4 stars. Christmas isn’t everyone’s favorite time of year. In fact, Christmas light displays take on a whole new meaning when you hate Christmas! But the hero of Elizabeth Maddrey’s Christian romance novella Operation Mistletoe won’t let heroine Victoria Spencer stay a Scrooge for long. Ah, sweet. Tori believes Christmas is not the holiday for her, Everything that can possibly go wrong does -- and always for Christmas. This year she gets her dream opportunity to write for a big newspaper. The catch? Write an article exposing Gabe, the man behind Operation Mistletoe. Tori is willing to do it, because she knew Gabe in college. But things are not always as they seem. And while it still may be an awful Christmas (who's to tell?) at least she'll have her by-line in a major newspaper. Good story, enjoyed it. Recommended. 4 stars. In the Christian romance A Bond for the Holidays, a family almost falls apart when a terrible secret is revealed… but this inspirational novella by Lee Tobin McClain shows how God’s love can work a miracle. This story was kind of sad. A family almost falling apart, a troubled, runaway teen, a long buried secret with bitter, long reaching roots... It made me want to cry. But despite everything, it had a beautiful ending that shows God's love in a way you'd never imagine. I thought at first I'd give this one 3 stars, but I am reevaluating, and going with 4 stars because of the wonderful ending. Maybe you prefer celebrating Christmas 365 days a year in the Smoky Mountains. In Krista Phillips’inspirational holiday novella, A (kinda) Country Christmas a woman does just that—until a handsome, world traveler shows up and ruins everything. What could be more fun than a Christmas themed store? I picture Bronners, in Frankenmuth, Michigan, but this one is in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Add a clutzy hero who knocks a tree over about meeting, and an "evil" pastor, set on matchmaking. I liked the daughter. She added a nice touch. 4 stars. In the first of eight great stories we find MISTLETOE IN MONTANA by BELLE CALHOUNE. It is a cute story about Brianna who comes back home after a disastrous marriage. She finds out the ranch she grew up is being sold to an old boyfriend named Luke. I enjoyed the interaction between Brianna and her father. Is it possible to start a new life at the place you left behind? It has a great spirit of family and forgiveness. I enjoyed the interaction between Brianna and her father. Is it possible to start a new life at the place you left behind? It has a great spirit of family and forgiveness. The interaction between Luke and Brianna was a bit predictable, but overall a nice feel good story . MATCH MADE FOR CHRISTMAS by DEBRA LYNN COLLINS was very well written. Sierra has just been dumped via text message. What a horrible way to tell someone you want to break up with them. She is heartbroken , but keeps herself busy working at the boutique in the mall . Corbin is the security guard for the mall and has a secret crush on her. I loved the sneaky but thoughtful scheme Sierra's friends cooked up to find her a man for Christmas. Who is her secret admirer? Did her friend's scheme work? The story is filled with love, and friendship. I appreciate how the author showed the characters spending time praying and asking for guidance from God. It is a well written story that made me smile. MERRY KISSES by VALERIE COMER is a story about Sonya that has always been raised to believe that Santa was a silly thing and the true meaning of Christmas was being lost among all the commercialism. She works at a toy store and is forbidden to say Merry Christmas to customers. I loved the beautiful story that shared the struggles that people have about celebrating Christmas a certain way. The author truly write a faith filled story that captures the heart of Christmas. Heath is a great character who has a heart filled with God's love. His faith was genuine and I loved how he used being Santa to reach out to children and make them feel loved and appreciated. The story will make you cry at times and give you hope at others. It is a story that explains the true meaning of Christmas by the beautiful words of an exceptional author. UNWRAPPED by CHRISTINA CORYELL is a great story about Trina who decides to go to her roommates family home for Christmas. I enjoyed the traditions the author shared that made the holidays so special for the family. Charlie is a great character who is not afraid to share his faith and love for his family and church. Will Trina and Charlie find happiness? its a nice story with a great message of family and finding love when you don't expect it. AN INFORMAL CHRISTMAS by HEATHER GRAY is set at a hospital where we see the two main characters dealing with sick children. Riley and Zach do not get along well , but soon that could change. The story is about two people who have a stressful job and try to learn to work together to help children that need them. The author has dynamic characters that make the story come to life. OPERATION MISTLETOE by ELIZABETH MADDREY is a superb story of two people who have different views on Christmas. Tori is not a happy camper when her editor assigns her a story about Gabe. they were once acquainted in college and she secretly had a crush on him. She must now put her feelings aside and write about Gabe and his silly notion of of over the top celebration of Christmas. Will Tori change her mind about Christmas? will she discover the true meaning and find peace? the book is very inspiring and the message of the true meaning of Christmas and letting go of the past. I loved how the character's interacted and the patience that Gabe showed as he shared his faith and joy of Christmas. This is a book you don't want to miss. A BOND FOR THE HOLIDAY'S by LEE TOBIN MCCLAIN is a little different type of Christmas story. It doesn't start off with a happy feel good theme. the book is centered around a family secret that is revealed. The family is devastated by the secret and has to deal with a deep rooted secret that will cause bitterness. i loved the story because it has a deep meaning of God's love and how that love changes even the bitter and unforgiving heart. It is very well written with a story that is riveting and gives us raw emotions. this is one story not to miss. A (kinda) COUNTRY CHRISTMAS by KRISTA PHILLIPS is a fun and great story to read. How would you like to be raised by parents who played Mr. and Mrs. Claus? What if your parents also ran a Christmas shop every single day for three hundred sixty-five days? The story will bring a smile and a great feeling of the Christmas spirit in this enchanting story. I received a copy of this book from The BookClub Network for an honest review Why no voting buttons? "Love's Gift" by various is a compilation of eight Christian Christmas novellas. Each novella is short enough to read in one setting. The entire collection of eight totals 770 pages. Many of the authors are new to me. Authors contributing are Lee Tobin McLain, Belle Calhoune, Krista Phillips, Heather Gray, Debra Lynn Collins, Valerie Comer, Christina Coryell and Elizabeth Maddrey. Each contemporary story focuses on Christmas and a couple falling in love. As with any books, some I enjoyed more th "Love's Gift" by various is a compilation of eight Christian Christmas novellas. Each contemporary story focuses on Christmas and a couple falling in love. As with any books, some I enjoyed more than others. This is a nice way to read a novella by different authors and compare their writing styles. It provides an opportunity to experience a new author and perhaps find a few favorite. Author Belle Calhoune penned Mistletoe in Montoe. This 84 page tale is the story of Breanna and Luke. Their relationship has ups and downs which make for a great read. A Match Made for Christmas is 130 pages long and written by author Debra Lynn Collins. Sierra and Corbin meet at church in this romantic story of trust and love. Author Valerie Comer writes Merry Kisses. This 114 page love story about Sonya and Heath begins in a toy store. Sonya isn't a fan of Santa. Mathew discussions about Santa and his part or not in Christmas is very interesting in this tale. Trina and Charlie star in Unwrapped by author Christina Coryell's 88 page novella. Charlie's sister is Trina roommate and brings her home for Christmas. My favorite of the eight stories was An Informal Christmas by author Heather Gray. This 150 page novella us set in the hospital and tells the romance of Rylie and Zachary. It also tells a bit about childhood cancer patients. This story will tug on your heart strings. Operation Mistletoe by author Elizabeth Maddrey is a 112 page story about newspaper reporter Victoria and the subject of her next article Gabe, successful business owner. A Bond for the Holidays by author Lee Tobin McClain was a very different Christmas romance of 86 pages. It tells the tale of Emily and Robert. It begins with Getting ready for Christmas when their high school Mark gets in from biology class where they had been doing blood typing. Discussing the results proves stressful and the Christmas mood is quickly lost. Many lessons are revealed in this short, emotional story. A (kinda) Country Christmas authored by Krista Phillips. Set in Gatlinburg this 110 page romance between Sadie, shop owner, and Nate, a friend's brother and clumsy shopper. It is delightful. With eight stories and authors there is such a variety in this novella compilation. Some stories are sure to teach something inspiring to readers. I would recommend this collection. It would make a nice Christmas gift or keep it for yourself and enjoy a story in front of the fire for a week and a day. I rated it a 4 out of 5 stars. A copy of this collection was provided by The Book Club Network for my honest review.

Merry Kisses by Valerie Comer was so fun to read. It also caused some deep thought provoking questions of how we can get so caught up in being so highly Spiritual that we lose sight of the real message the Lord is wanting us to see. I will definitely want to read this one again. Unwrapped by Christina Coryell was another great story with emphasis on the importance of family An Informal Christmas by Heather Gray was next. A uniquely crafted story. It is not your typical all sugary sweet story. There are sad moments in this story, but yet it is real to life. I felt like I was right there with Rylie who works in children's hospital with the cancer patients. This very tender emotionally charged story had me unable to put it down. I cried at times but in a very good way. One of the things I loved the most was the inspirational thread and how the characters dealt with the difficult things life had thrown them. Operation Mistletoe by Elizabeth Maddrey A delightfully wonderful Christmas Novella that was difficult to put down. It tells the real meaning of Christmas and the power Christ can have on an individual's life. This is one I will want to read over and over again. A Bond For the Holidays by Lee Tobin McClain came next. This is a powerful story of Love and Forgiveness and the importance of Telling the Truth. It is one I will want to read again. A Kinda Country Christmas by Krista Phillips. This is a story that I will want to read again. I enjoyed it. I also loved the Inspirational thread. Having the story set in an area near where I live so I can picture the place even more was an added plus. I fell in love with the characters. All 8 of these were well written. For some of the authors it was a first time of reading one of their books. I will be looking for more books from all 8 authors to read again.

It doesn't mean it was over the top sweet and smooth - the topic in the center of the story would make it very difficult to stay realistic. I appreciated most the way the characters handled their doubts and struggles and still were able to stay true or reconnect to their faith.

Each novella is so very different than the rest. There is even a story about a married couple. This was unconventional to me since most romances I have read deal with unmarried people falling in love. This is a set of inspirational romances. At least one character in the novellas has recently renewed their faith. I have not read any of the authors’ writings before this book. But I definitely would like to read more of them now. I enjoyed this set of touching stories. I would recommend Love’s Gift as it celebrates the birth of Jesus as the most important part of Christmas.

I must confess I haven't read all the books in this compilation, but I just HAD to review Christina Coryell's contribution, 'Unwrapped'. For her loyal readers, this is the prequel to the Camdyn series. It is the story of Trina and Charlie, Camdyn's brother. Trina is Camdyn's best friend, kindred spirit, as Anne Shirley would say. Trina's family isn't having their usual Christmas and Camdyn invites her to spend Christmas with her, Charlie and their grandmother. When I read Christina Coryell's very first book, I knew in my heart that here was an author to watch. And I've read 6 full length novels and a novella so far and my mind is totally convinced she will always be a favorite. She has a unique gift of creating characters that are absolutely wonderful and totally believable. I want to be able to be a fly on the wall in her books and be a part of the action. Terrific Christian fiction! Don't miss this one! Now I have the pleasure of reading the rest in this package.

Stories to get you in the mood of the season This collection of short stories is a great addition to anyone’s Christmas reading list. The stories are not tied together except in that each one centers on the true meaning of Christmas. I especially liked the Christian basis for the characters and the references throughout the stories to the bible and how it can be applied to our lives every day. It was a good introduction for me to most of these authors and I will now go look for more of their work. I received this book from BookFun.org in exchange for my honest review.

Eight stories, one book. I love anthologies like this. It gives me a chance to sample authors' works - some I've read previously and others that are new to me. Authors like Lee Tobin McLain, Belle Calhoune, Krista Phillips, Heather Gray, Debra Lynn Collins, Valerie Comer, Christina Coryell and Elizabeth Maddrey each have stories in this collection. The only connection between the stories is Christmas and that a couple falls in love. Each story touches the heart and can be read in one evening. An Eight stories, one book. One of my favorites in this collection of stories is Heather Gray’s An Informal Christmas. This story really hit home for me. I cannot imagine spending Christmas in the hospital. Man! These collections are such a great deal! I loved all eight of these novellas, and in the process of reading them, I've discovered new authors, some of whom even have series with some of these characters. I'm so excited! I've reviewed each of the novellas individually here on Goodreads and on Amazon and I will also be highlighting each one individually on my blog, Mommynificent.com, throughout this Christmas season (2015). Love's Gift is a collection of Christian Christmas romances by 8 different authors. Each novella was a sweet, touching story taking place at Christmas: Mistletoe in Montana, A Match Made for Christmas, Merry Kisses, Unwrapped, An Informal Christmas, Operation Mistletoe, A Bond for the Holidays and A (Kinda)Country Christmas. There is no connection between the stories. All of the stories were good but my favorite was A (Kinda) Country Christmas by Krista Phillips. This box set was actually a very nice way to get in the Christmas Spirit. I am not usually one to buy box sets, but because a couple of my favorite authors and a couple that I wanted to check out wrote these stories, not to mention I got it for $.99, I decided to give it a shot. I am glad I did. Each story is well written and held my interest throughout the entire novel. Great job! :) I look forward to reading more from each one of you!

This is a good collection of Christmas novellas with a good Christian witness in each one. Since there is a variety of authors, the quality varies as well. My favorite story was An Informal Christmas. It was a touching story. Some of the romances are very short, happening in just days. That always makes me wonder about the long term result. But then, these are novellas. The collection is a bargain and ,ales for a week of fun reading.

I love Christmas stories and these are top notch. Nothing like heartwarming stories that center on the true meaning of Christmas. I especially enjoyed Belle Calhoune's "Mistletoe In Montana" and hope to read more about the Santiago family in the future. This book puts you in the holiday sprit and each novella can be read in one setting. I highly recommend it. I love Christmas stories and these are top notch. Each of the stories is a wonderful combination of faith and romance centered around the Christmas season and I thoroughly enjoyed each one. This is a set that I definitely recommend and I know the stories will bring a touch of the Christmas spirit to anyone who reads them just as they did mine.
