Another good Mystery! Angie, Jenna, Ellie, and Courtney are at it again! Trying to solve a 25 year old murder. They all are at a house that Betty real estate agent is showing to Mr. Finch, guest of the B and B who wants to stay in Sweet Cove since he and Courtney have taken over his brother's candy shop! While they all, are looking over the house, a bomb is found in the basement and all hell breaks out. The house is found out to be where a murder took place 25 years earlier. He asks the Roseland sisters to help find the person who killed his father 25 years ago. The sisters are not sure they can help with their powers if the murder was so long ago! The story will keep you guessing until the end and the truth comes out. Well written and I am on my way back to Sweet Cove for some other mysteries!

Sweet Deceit Angie and her sisters (and Mr. Finch, who I keep seeing as Finch on Person Of Interest, I can't help it) are out solving mysteries again, with the help of cats Euclid and Circe.  This time, the gang works to find out who planted a bomb in a vacant house and also who killed the guy who lived next door to the potential bomb crater.   A really good plot in this one, but again with an abrupt ending.  The mysteries aren't so much solved as stumbled on. Which, pardon my crass metaphor, is kind of like spending all night making out with a guy and he finishes within 30 seconds. Yeah, it got the job done, but it could've been better if it was drawn out a little.   But anyway, I digress.   I also don't really understand the teasing the sisters do when one of them gets a boyfriend.  What, are you 8th graders?   Enjoyable book and a series I've come to enjoy, but not without a few eye-rolling moments.

I'm afraid that this book is the end of the line for me. I've tolerated all this psychic abilities of the sisters ... and even those ridiculous cats. The sisters seemed to have totally relied on Euclid and Circe for their reactions to the scene of the crime, evidence, and the suspects despite the sisters having their own psychic skills. The first book had only 2 sisters with psychic skills and now all 4 have them. In book #3, I said to myself I would try #4 just to see if the psychic cats would lessen in the book but instead it seems to have increased. This is way beyond reasonable, so I've decided that this will be my last book. Very disappointing. Get rid of the cats, get rid of the psychic abilities, then I may possibly try another book. I give this at most 3 stars.

This was another good installment in a sweet (pun intended!) little series, and I always feel like the characters are old friends. The sisters were so lucky to have a friend in their life like Mr. Finch who went into partnership with Courtney. The showdown was pretty nail biting, but that was the cool thing about having three other sisters. They always had a game plan and each others' backs. Hope to come back to Sweet Cove again soon!

Angie and Jenna go to view a house with Mr. Finch. As Betty gets ready to turn on a light Angie gets a premonition and she and Jenna rush everyone out of the house. Her premonition turns out to be correct again as they later discover they all could have been killed. The girls are also asked to look into a 25 yr old murder. This is another great story from J.A. Whiting. There is not as much humor in this one, while there is some violence, it is nothing too severe or graphic. I'm looking forward t Angie and Jenna go to view a house with Mr. Finch. This book is filled with thrills, excitement and danger. A 25 year old murder, a house to view subject to purchasing and opening of a new business are some of the highlights in this book. And, of course, another impending romance may be commencing too. Will the police chief ever give the sisters big, shiny badges? Book Five has wedding plans, catering, chocolate candy making and baking so stay tuned.

This book picks up right after Book 3, but each book can stand alone. The murder took place 25 years ago but the action is all happening now. Nothing about the plot taxes the brain, but the characters are pleasant and the book is enjoyable.

Each book this series takes a different tack. Even though every mystery as a thread from a previous, it’s very different from the previous which is a welcome change. These are well worth the read.

Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books... 1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future. 2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author. 3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up. 4 sta Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books... 1 star... Explosively Intriguing This is book 4 of the Sweet Cove series and once again I am not disappointed! Bed & Breakfast resident Mr. Finch is considering moving into a home located at the back of the Victorian home which the sisters live in. As they start to tour the house, Angie gets some weird vibes and instantly clears them out of the house. After a quick call to Chief Martin they are told there was a bomb in the home. If the bomb went off, that home and possibly others would have been destroyed. T Explosively Intriguing This is book 4 of the Sweet Cove series and once again I am not disappointed! The owners of the home are out of the picture, one in a retirement home, the other one traipsing around with his thug of an assistant. His estranged son is called and he is staying at the B & B. The sisters are getting some weird vibes from him and resident cat sleuths don't like him either. A twenty-five year old unsolved murder of the next door neighbor comes into play and everyone is trying to make the connections. Someone doesn't want the sisters to find out the truth, but just which one of these people is the murderer? This series is so well written and I look forward to reading more.

As Betty Hayes, Mr. Fitch's Realtor and Lady friend, goes into the Master Bedroom...well, here is my options, tell you what happens or let you experience for yourself? I'll be mean and let you guess...it did raise not only my attention but the good old blood pressure as well (just a wee bit.) This novel starts off exactly where the fourth novel ends, (Sweet Secrets.) The secrets are alive and so are the deceit and lies that layer the Sweet Cove town. The Victorian is busy as a B&B, Angie is still baking freelance as the building continues, and Jenna is doing well, as Courtney and Mr. Finch make candies that have you drooling to read of. Some feel this series is weak on mysteries, well, not this volume, but I must admit...I love the true cozy genre. I want to think families like the Roseland sisters exist, at least I can escape to J.A. Whiting's novels to bring me a sense of peace and order. Good writing!

this was excellent! Another series that I am really enjoying! The 4 sisters and their friends are again in the midst of a mystery when the house Mr. Finch is interested in buying almost blows up - and would have taken Jenna and Angie along with Mr. Finch and the realtor with it! then they discover that the house next to that house was the scene of an unsolved murder, 25 years ago. Lots of drama and surprises in this one, and plenty of spice to keep things moving along. Read it, and you will see this was excellent! Another series that I am really enjoying! I still really like the books, yes, it has its shortcomings of which I am aware, but it is a nice and fun read and I enjoy the sisterhood and their familial relationship with Mr. Finch. Engaging Man, I love this series. Always gets my attention immediately. I usually know the murderer, but this time I even knew the motivation (proud of myself). But that didn't stop me from enjoying this book. The characters are real charmers. Hoping there are more books in this series. Engaging Man, I love this series. Always gets my attention immediately. Another enjoyable Sweet Cove cozy mystery has the sisters searching for clues after the house behind theirs has a bomb planted in it. Ultimately they find that it ties in with a 25 year old murder that was never solved. Interesting theme that they needed to dig deeper to find out about the true personalities of some people. The cats are always an added bonus.

Easy Enjoyable Read Once again I am pleasantly pleased with a Sweat Cove story. The characters are developing nicely and the author continues to be true to the story lines. The paranormal in the book is a little hokey but, nonetheless, it's entertaining & a great distraction from the world. Easy Enjoyable Read Once again I am pleasantly pleased with a Sweat Cove story.
