An enjoyable read - cops and murderers with a romance as the backdrop. The exploration is steamy, erotic and charged with passion as Emma not only finds the romantic partner she’s been missing for years in her marriage, but the chemistry is so tight with her new lover. she convinces herself that she’s in love with the well-built and persuasive Dante.

Emily Kendricks' "The Fantasy Maker" is a romance (with lots of suspense) about a woman who gets in over her head. Steve and Emma have a wonderful marriage ... at least initially. Unfortunately for Emma, there is no easy solution to this predicament. Kendricks writes a story that is fun and engaging with a unique premise. The suspense deepens as Emma gets more involved with Dante, and the plot twists and turns quite a bit. I'd recommend this book to anyone who wants a romance with lots of suspense and unique characters.

I loved this story, from the very first page, I was taken into the book and had to keep reading more. I could really relate to Emma and what she was going through. From the outside view, it appears that she has everything. She has a husband who does very well and they seem to make the perfect power couple. From the inside, Emma is struggling with the marriage. Her husband seems to barely care and doesn't put much effort into the relationship. She's tired of the life that she is living and wants some excitement to come her way. Emma goes to the spa with one of her friends and her life changes dramatically. The author does a wonderful job of creating this fantasy land where most women would love to go! The sessions with Dante are fulfilling and Emma is in heaven. She still has to figure out what she will do with her marriage, her life and where it will go. I loved this book and found it to be hot! I hope that this author will continue to write.

From the outside, it seemed that Emma had everything: wealth, a successful husband, and two kids. However, we soon learn that everything is not as it seems... Emma does not have the perfect marriage. Emma is an instantly-likable character, and I thought the story, though not typically the type of romance I read, was incredibly interesting--perhaps unlikely to happen in real life, but Kendricks really made it believable. Such a fantastic book with plenty of twists and turns (one of the plot twists actually caught me completely off guard, so kudos to the author for that!). The Fantasy Maker details Emma's story: she was in an unhappy marriage, and was eventually convinced by her best friend, Jen, to go visit a spa--the kind where fantasies come true. There were plenty of hot/sexy scenes balanced with Emma's day-to-day life (none of it mundane, though!), as well as plenty of romance, heartbreak, and betrayal: all Such a fantastic book with plenty of twists and turns (one of the plot twists actually caught me completely off guard, so kudos to the author for that!). This little novel took me from one emotional extreme to another as I followed Emma's emotions on each page. I was fascinated with the erotic charge supplied by the new friend she made at the ranch and eagerly finished each chapter to see where the author would lead us.
