Easy read for kindergartener Great and easy read for a kindergartener. My son enjoyed it and enjoyed the sweet story that was told. It also made him want ice cream, so I guess that’s one small negative.

My son and I read this together and I felt that this could have been a level 2 book more so than a level 1 as labeled. Level one is geared more towards kids that are coming out of a Jane and Dick book. A lot more complicated words.

Splat the Cat: I Scream for Ice Cream is about when Splat and his class as well as Seymour, the mouse, visit an ice cream factory. They are so excited to go and eat all the ice cream. I mean, who wouldn’t? When they arrive at the factory, they start learning about how ice cream is made but that is boring to them. All of a sudden, Splat accidentally presses the release ice cream button. The ice cream begins pouring out everywhere and all the toppings in a wave. The class cleans everything up, but Splat the Cat: I Scream for Ice Cream is about when Splat and his class as well as Seymour, the mouse, visit an ice cream factory. I love the Splat the Cat books, they are funny and I enjoy the illustrations. This book is great for kindergarten.

Adorable & Perfectly Balanced Between Easy and Challenging For Young Readers As a child, I loved books like this one: the kind with engaging visuals and simple sentences which introduced a few challenging words I could feel proud of myself for learning with parental assistance (or, sometimes, on my own). I feel like they strike an important balance which aids education and fosters a love for reading. In this particular book, there's a fun story about cats who want to eat a ton of ice cream and realize in an amusing adventure that perhaps they should he careful what they wish for. It's zany and cute and kind of like a cartoon. I definitely would recommend this for youngsters who love reading.

Everyone is excited for the field trip to the ice cream factory. But when the first part of the tour is super boring, Splat accidentally causes a huge mess and everyone must pitch in to help clean up. Splat the Cat readers can be a bit zany because they are a teensy bit more worried about introducing a certain phonics concept than the plot. This one is quite crazy but still manages to have a plot that makes sense. The phonics emphasis is on the long e sound produced by different vowel blends. Splat the Cat is taking on a new adventure in this transition picture book! He is on his way to get himself some ice cream through this silly book. I have read a splat the cat book before and didn't really care for it but I thought I would give this one a try anyway! I ended up not really caring for it that much but I am sure some kids might still enjoy it. I don;t think I would use this as a big lesson in my class but I could use it when I pull students up to practice reading or pull some sight Splat the Cat is taking on a new adventure in this transition picture book! This is a great book because it teaches the students how to react when they make mistakes. The class went on a field trip to an ice cream factory. They were excited until they realized how boring it was to make ice cream. Splat makes a mistake and spills ice cream everywhere which created a small problem. They all worked together to clean up the mess and couldn’t find the mouse. They ended up finding the mouse by eating the ice cream. I love ice cream so this was a must to see if it will be chosen for the grandkid bookshelf. I do believe it will win a place. Splat and his friends are going on a field trip to visit and ice cream factory. They find that it is pretty boring and lots of learning until someone starts to fall asleep and hits an emergency button by mistake. I am with Splat and his friends at the end when no-one wants any more ice cream after the day they have had.

🎵 We All Scream For I've Cream 🎵 Splat the 🐱 was happy. The school field trip was to the I🍦 factory. Mr. Jellybean, the Plant Manager, greeted them and asked the class if they wanted a tour. While listening to his speech, Splat leaned against a red button. Alarms blared. What did he do? You get to read/listen to find out!! 📚 Happy Reading 📚

Ben did not want to read this book. I told him that picture books don't take very long and that you should try them before you decide what to do with them. So we read it, he enjoyed it, but then he decided it goes on the garage sale this summer. Fine by me.

Fun read This is a fun read for beginners. The trip and the tour the cat students take is adventurous. It was a cute way the mouse had some mystery. And too much of something even Ice cream can be excessive.

This book was really Good. I liked the part where Seymour whispered, "For now". I also liked that all the ice cream spilled and my grandmom liked that they cleaned it all up. If you like Splat the cat you need to read this book. Alexiah Fontenord

There is no way this is a level one reader. My granddaughter is a level one reader and not only was this book too long, but the structure was WAY above her reading level and she is a fantastic little reader.
