We made a pact to share all of our firsts. It was a pact that we’d kept since that night. If there was something new to discover we’d do it together. Aww that's cute! I like that they've known each other years - I'm looking forward to meeting Ethan and seeing them together :D 15% It was another nice compliment she’d paid me. I appreciated how it wasn’t about me looking like someone else to fit in. She was saying I was beautiful, and it meant so much to me that I forgot about the seriousness of the conversation for a few short moments. Oh christian! You don't need to change to fit in! :'( 18% You need to quit that, Chris. Some guy’s goin’ to try and take advantage of you if you don’t watch yourself. I get that you’re stubborn, but there ain’t nothin’ ugly about you.” I finally looked up to meet his gaze. His eyes were widened and baring into me. He’d made his point, and I became overwhelmed with anger. “Noah, please don’t start this again. You’re my brother, but it’s no secret that I’m awkward.” “Do you own a mirror?” Oh Chris! Listen to him - I think I know where this is going to go especially with the dedication :( 24% He pulled out a flask and started drinking the contents. He obviously had a drinking problem. Hmm? I have a feeling I know what happens later because of the blurb and the dedication so right now watching these Chris and Seth together is really not nice :/ I'm not really enjoying this one atm :( I hope it picks up soon! 26% wouldn’t even -.” “I might, because it’s you, so make sure you don’t let me. Tonight I’m your best friend with no benefits.” I laughed and looked out the window. “You’re hopeless.” “There’s hope for me out there somewhere. I just haven’t found it yet.” I'm glad we've finally got to meet Ethan - I think I'm gonna like him :) I like seeing him and Chris together - hopefully I'll start to enjoy this book abit more :) 27% I was just as human as him, and obviously nowhere near perfect. We all had skeletons in our closet, and if that was the only terrible mistake I made in my life it wasn’t that horrible anyway. Oh Ethan! You can't have double standards - I get your jealous but how is Chris meant to know that! You need to talk not walk away :/ 28% I joked it off as much as I could, while inside I felt like I was being stabbed by a thousand daggers. Saving her from the bad date gave me empowerment, but it was short-lived. I should have known from that first moment that something was different. If anyone could read her it was me. All of the signs were there. I should have known she’d fucked him. It was just too hard to accept. Oh Ethan! :/ i like that you love her so much that you hate that she was with another guy n it kills you but you can't be angry at her when you know she loves you n yet your always with other girls and don't hide it :/ im not really connected to it and am kind of having to make myself read when I could quite happily put this book down n do something else - it's been that way all night :( 29% Suddenly I didn’t care about Seth and what they’d done together. All I wanted was to remind her how important she was to my life. Why did it take her leaving for you to realise that?!? - I've noticed things that wouldn't bother me in other books really are here! I think it might be coz I know what's coming and I have a sneaky suspicion it comes really soon and may be as a consequence to this and seen as we haven't seen much of Ethan (at 35% even though he's meant to be the hero!!!) it's easy to be annoyed at him :( I don't know what it is about this book but I'm not really connected to it - I think it may have something to do with having just read rock chick revolution - I haven't been able to stop thinking about that book all day and I finished 2 days ago!! Oops :( stupid book hangover! 31% He was staring at me, and I felt uncomfortable being alone with him. “You’re so beautiful. I’ve watched you come into class for weeks, waiting for the day that you noticed me. I knew I’d have you if I was patient. Girls like you are worth the wait.” That was enough for me to hear to become terrified. :'( I knew this was coming but I still hate it! :'( 33% This wasn’t an accident. You knew what you were doin’ when you took me there. I’m not stayin’ quiet, Seth. You raped me, and I’m goin’ to tell the whole fuckin’ world what kind of guy you are.” He may have thought I was weak, but he had another thing coming to him. Nobody was going to hurt me and get away with it. “What the hell? I didn’t rape you. Don’t even go there. Don’t you dare fucking tell that to anyone.” I fucking hate Seth!!! -_- It doesn't matter what happened before - he had absolutely NO right to do that!! Poor Chris! :'( 36% This call was a mistake. I won’t bother you anymore. I think I just wanted to hear your voice one more time before you hated me. Goodbye, Ethan. For what it’s worth, you’re the only guy I’ve ever loved. I’m glad I got to experience that feelin’ before all of this happened; otherwise I’d never know what it was like. I’m sorry for ruinin’ our friendship.” Oh chris!! :'( I hope she tells him soon and leans on him for help - he also needs to tell her the truth! :( it's hurting both of them! 37% There was still concern about screwing it up, but I couldn’t sit back and watch her seeing other people. I’d learned my lesson feeling the pain of knowing she’d been with another guy besides me. Aww Ethan - maybe I'll start liking him soon :) I think i've woke up in a bit of a better mood. So maybe that'll help - fingers crossed haha :) 39% He punched the wood right at my face, making me jump out of my skin. “Open the fucking door.” He's such a fucking dick! I hate Seth sooo fucking much! -_- 40% I was a blubbering mess. I’d struggled with making friends for so long, and now I regretted it, because obviously they were never going to accept me Okay now I hate becca! I get that it's a hard thing to accept from a friend you've known for years but why the hell would Chris lie! You saw the state she was just in! :'( -_- 41% You’ve got to call the police.” I have to say I love that he's not even questioned her! He knows she wouldn't lie! 42% My body began to shake, and when I looked up into Ethan’s eyes all I saw was pain. They were glossed over, so much that I swore tears were about to fall. The only time I’d ever seen Ethan cry was when his grandfather passed away suddenly. Oh Ethan! :'( Now that Chris knows what kind of guy seth is I'm starting to enjoy this book a bit more :) also I think it's helped that I'm in a better mood today :) 44% Her future was worth the risk. I’d rather that woman hate me forever and have some sense of security in her life, rather than living with the fear of it happening again. Awww Ethan! I'm starting to like him - he'd put Christians' safety above everything even himself n his own happiness :) 45% She began to weep, so hard that I had to catch her when her knees gave way. I could hear the pain in her sobs, and felt as if the world was crashing down around us. Her pain radiated through me, and all I wished was that I could somehow make it all go away. Oh chris! :'( I like that Ethan's there for her n while he might not like that she needs to this he was a bit harsh the way he said it - I know it comes from a place of worry but still :/ I do like Ethan though :) I'm enjoying this more than yesterday :) 46% Don’t worry, I’ve got you now, and I’m goin’ to make sure you find yourself again if it’s the last damn thing I ever do.” I'm liking these two together :) though I hate that Chris is hurting! I hope we see more of them together - I think that may have been what was missing from the first bit :/ 47% “What did I ever do to deserve this?” I literally began to bawl. They were laughing from the other side of the door, becoming enthused that they’d gotten to me in such a way. Seriously!!! I hate them! I get that they might not want to believe her but there is absolutely no need for this! Why the hell would she lie?!?! -_- 48% I didn't have to be embarrassed when it came to Ethan. I'd spent years opening up to him. Even in my current state I knew he wouldn't dare hurt me. I like that they're so comfortable with each other - I'm definitely enjoying this more than before :) 52% By the time we’d made it inside I was already crying. I felt sorry for the woman, and for myself, because at the end of the day Eve was right. It was up to me to get through this, and I had to be ready for it to happen or it never would. Oh chris :'( you can do it you have Ethan n your family - they'll support you :) 54% You’re loved. This is the one place in the world where everyone loves you. Sure, they may freak out at first, but my hand will be laced with yours, and if you get nervous just squeeze it. It will remind you that you’re never goin’ to be alone.” Oh Ethan! I'm really liking him now - he won't let Chris forget she's not alone! :D 56% My father crossed his arms as he spoke. “We’re goin’ to the hospital, Christian. We know you’re scared, but it’s for the best. As far as this ranch is concerned, I don’t care about the publicity. Nothin’s more important than my family, not even this ground we live on. You can fight me on this, but at the end of the day we’ve got your best interest at heart. I need you to get well, and this is the first step in makin’ that happen. Oh colt! I love how much you love your family :) 58% When the video ended Omg! The dick! I think Ethan might get upset at this coz of what Chris said about promising to be each other's firsts -shit! :( 59% This was the woman I loved. Was I really considering that she could be lying to me? Had she betrayed my trust so much that I couldn’t believe her? Oh Ethan! I kinda get where your coming from n I know your hurt but I have to say I like that your leaving to get your head sorted - you're not taking it out on her/doubting her to her face n I hope that continues otherwise we're gonna have problems :) 60% I got up and ran to the bathroom vomiting out the little amount of food I’d consumed Oh shit! :( 63% There was nothing to discuss. I wanted the fucker to pay for what he’d done, and I’d make sure he got what was coming, even if I had to use my fists to get the job done. I like that were seeing how Christians rapes affected Ethan too :) 65% my girl I really really like that Chris is his girl! No matter what he loves her and she's his to protect! 67% A part of me wanted to keep busting him up. Just as I was about to move inside, I froze. This could cost me Christian forever. If I took this guy inside and inflicted more pain on him, there was a good chance I’d go to jail. Aww Ethan! I'm glad he realises that and he'll do anything to keep christian! :D 71% It wasn’t pertaining to the attack, but more about having a new future. It was going to be a long road, I wasn’t an idiot. I’d probably never forget that night in the abandoned house with Seth, but I’d survived, and that was also something I should be happy about. Aww I'm glad Chris is starting to heal :) I hope Ethan's okay - I know he's hurting but I hope he doesn't give up :) 72% face to face with the angel who would change everything for us. ? Oh I'm curious?! I hate that it's been two weeks but maybe they both need some time apart :) 73% Amber Is that?! Oh my god - It makes more sense now .... She said he liked to be in control .... :( 74% Maybe it was for the best. Oh Amber!! :'( :'( 80% Daddy,” I called him that when I wanted to be on his good side. Even in my twenties, he still got a kick out of it. Aww I'm glad we get to see a little of colts relationship with his daughter :) 81% “Hogwash!” He immediately spat. “That boy’s been crazy about you for years.” “Dad, we’re just friends. Well, we were. It’s all changed now.” “I don’t believe that. If you want somethin’ you’ve got to work for it, you’ve got to fight. It’s the chase that makes it better. Aww yay! You tell her colt :D 82% How was I going to look her in the eyes, knowing I’d loved her for so long, and tell her that my decisions had been the reason for everything that happened to her? Oh Ethan :/ I like how it's realistic in that Ethan's blaming himself n we see how this has affected him too :) 85% Did you think you could get rid of me so easily?” Awww yay! Finally! :) 86% “What happened to you broke me, Chris. It tore me up. No matter how hard I tried I knew I’d never be able to take it away. Because of my stupidity you’ll be tormented forever. I don’t know how to live with that, babe. It breaks me.” Oh Ethan! :'( 87% Ethan, It’s a difficult time for a father to accept that his daughter is a grown woman. I’ve watched her struggle throughout life, but she’s always had one constant. It’s you. Thank you for lovin’ my daughter. I’d appreciate it if you respected her, and promise that you’ll always be her best friend. If you don’t, just know I’ll find ya. Colt Mitchell, Your someday-father-in-law” Awwww colt! :D <3 93% I rolled my eyes, but nodded anyway. I didn’t care if I was the only person who ever knew what they’d said to me. It was unforgettable. Aww Chris! :) the twins are up next - I've heard a couple things about their books so I'm curious as to what happens there :) 95% Her cheerful mood lifted some of my anxiety, although it wasn’t enough to shake my fear of being forever known as the guy who got up from the Mitchell family table with a woody Haha I really like how Chris is atm - she's so comfortable around than she doesn't need to hide - she's not shy or scared coz its Ethan! I really like that! 96% We don’t have to go all the way, Chris. I’m puttin’ it out there, so you know.” Aww ethan! He's so worried he's gonna hurt her! :( 99% “I’ll have you know that no matter what your family says you’re goin’ to be my wife. I’d like for us to wait until I graduate, but it’s goin’ to happen. Aww Ethan! :D 100% No matter where life took us we’d be together. From the very moment she stepped inside of that bus I knew she was my future. I’d spend the rest of my life making sure she knew it too Aww! I have mixed feelings about this book - I never really connected to the characters till about 50% which is a long time (especially for me!) which meant I never really enjoyed it :( but then the second half was a lot better for me so I'm glad I read it :) overall I think I'm gonna have to rate it 2.5 stars which I'm gonna round down because I have 3 star books on my shelf and I don't think it's fair to rate this the same as them :) but I am glad I read it as I liked Christian and i loved seeing more colt and id recommend it if you like this family and have been following them from the beginning :)

What a powerful story. I had no idea this book was going to be so profound. I think at one point I gasped so loud the person next to me looked at me funny. If that random person only knew what I was reading. I should have told her the book name and author so she too could experience Christian and Ethan's story. Just like the rest of the Mitchell Family Series, I've fallen for their kids stories. Christian's story is very different from Noah's and Isabelle. She is a good girl who is trying to be accepted in the world. She decides to be bad just once to fit in with her "friends/roommates". Then a tragedy happens that she didnt see coming. Ethan is Christians best friend an also her first everything. He is a good country boy, but he can be an ass just like any other man. 3.5 stars I really felt conflicted with this one. Oh, for me, it doesn't get four stars, but a few elements that can be considered classic "Jennifer Foor" and tough at the same time are the things that kept this one from being a bust. First, meet Christian: She is the oldest daughter of my favorite Foor/Mitchell couple. She is smart, comes from a solid and loving family who supports her, and she knows her career goals. She should be a cool young adult to get to know, right? Only thing is, due to an 3.5 stars I really felt conflicted with this one. First, meet Christian: She is the oldest daughter of my favorite Foor/Mitchell couple. She is smart, comes from a solid and loving family who supports her, and she knows her career goals. She should be a cool young adult to get to know, right? Only thing is, due to an introduction to love that is tepid, a loving family who tragically missed the signs of long-simmered feelings of low self esteem and longing to be special, this cool young lady is driven to go outside her comfort zone in search for something to happen in her life. And it does. I won't mince words here. I was at first surprised, but okay with Christian's initial launch into "living wild and free." Then I was a little miffed by her inattention to detail, danger and most of all, to herself. She made decisions without truly preparing herself and while thinking very wrongly about her own worth. As she added on more exasperating and tragic missteps, I thought I'd power off my kindle. This is not me blaming a female for reckless behavior and whatever might befall her. No woman deserves belittlement, violence or relationship ambiguity from a male she let's into her world. But, it happens. The author was brave to pen Christian as a young woman who goes through a tough test of herself. That's what this story was essentially about: Christian, a woman given a trial right at the beginning of her adult life. Ironically, her mother, Savannah had gone through trials as well (both of violence and trauma). It was like Foor passed Christian's lot in life from her mother to her. Anyway, the Mitchell family comes through as a bubble that can't be burst; as always, there is humor and love and the feeling of "home" that readers will recognize if they know the characters from the previous books. However, the love story in this one was blah! I didn't like Christian's love interest because he was wishy washy and definitely "too little, too late". Though he did take care of her in some ways, he wasn't decisive or developed enough for me to understand him or feel that he was truly great for Christian. So, I guess the resolution of Christian's story and the lack of relationship development between her and the supposed hero was what kept this from tipping over to 4 stars for me. However, the author's handling of a very common but always complicated issue that plagues our college campuses and sports world prevalently was kind of well done. Read this one if you like the Mitchells/Healys, you want to get to know Colt and Savannah's daughter and you want your fix. Just be prepared for some discomfort in some scenes.

It is rare that I read a book the whole way through and rate it one star. This book had me so frustrated that I almost wish that I would have quit reading it. I get where Christian had her issues, I had no problem with her (til the end, more later), it was Ethan who made me want to read into my e-reader and beat him to a pulp, then run over his body with a steam roller. So he loved Christian so much he pushes her away after they are each others firsts, yet still wants to be her BFF, all the while It is rare that I read a book the whole way through and rate it one star. Suuuuure, that sounds like love to me. WTF!! Then when Christian encounters a horrible event and needs her BFF he isn't there for her and is revolted by what he sees. Again WTF!!! The Christian is healing and he comes back in, her family opens the door wide for him and tell him they have known all along he loved her and what was going on with them in the barn. WTF! This isn't the Colt we have seen in the pass so protective about his family. My other big complaint is how Christian acted at the end. After what she went through all of a sudden she was a sex kitten, where did that come from. Give me a break! I'm glad this one is done because I didn't want to read any more with these clowns.

I absolutely LOVE the Mitchell/Healey family series books, but I have to say that Christian's book was an utter disappointment. First of all, this book felt rushed, the plot totally SUCKED and the books was too short to deal with the heavy topic the author chose to write about in this book. Also, what happened to the banter between family members that I've come of love in this series of books. I’m a massive fan of Jennifer Foor’s Books and I’ve been incredibly lucky to have been gifted copies of all three of the New Mitchell-Healey Family Series Books. Book #1 Noah and Book #2 Isabella click to read my reviews. This book is not like the previous books in this series; Christian takes a big leap into the darker side of things and deals with some difficult and upsetting subject matters. To be honest I wasn’t really expecting this book to be anything but a romance, both Noah and Isabella were out and out love stories. Christian reminded me of the original Mitchell Family series that on occasion dealt with some darker issues. I both enjoyed and kind of hated this book!! I loved Ethan and Christian’s friendship and the unique bond they created. Their relationship was heart warming and special but I think we could all also feel the underlying sexual connection they had. On the flip side this book is also harrowing and disturbing, I feel like a warning is required and although this is a massive spoiler this book has a very descriptive rape scene which is traumatising and to be honest a little horrifying!! This scene was unexpected in its intensity and to be truthful made me uncomfortable to a point where I considered stopping reading. What then followed and the way things were dealt with and how she was treated way just appalling!!! This is definitely not a happy go lucky love story, its harsh and brutal and really highlights that sometimes humans are horrible, mean awful entities. God the attacker is terrifying, charming one minute and then pure evil the next!! I feel like I need to assure readers that this book does have a happy ending but for me someone needed to get his comeuppance a bit sooner and preferably by having his dick cut off!!! This book was hard to read but I’m actually now really looking forward to the next few books in this series. Christian gets 4 stars from me.

2.5-3 stars I am SO disappointed. This series in itself hasn't even touched the original Mitchell-Healy series for me. I just can't get over how screwed up these kids are when they all grew up with a stable family base. Christian starts off the book making mistake after mistake and when I saw where it was leading I just knew this book would disappoint me. The reasons for Christian being the way she was were so baseless and petty to me. Ethan's reason for staying away were too. I hated how she wen 2.5-3 stars I am SO disappointed. I hated how she went about things and I just couldn't believe this was the same daughter of Savannah and Colt. Don't even get me started on her sister. When the "tragedy" struck, I was sad for Christian but the way she dealt with it annoyed me to no end. I liked the way Ethan stepped up and stood beside her until he didn't. After these events, the book from there on was pretty rocky for me. Ethan and Christian finally got their crap together and got their HEA but I just wasn't connected to them to feel the sparks. I truly hope I can find a redeeming quality in the next book because so far I haven't enjoyed this series one bit. The last few JF books haven't caught me like her earlier ones had which makes me incredibly sad because I do love her writing.

For starters- Ethan is "In Love" with Christian, but doesn't want to man up about it, so he sleeps with anyone he feels like and that's ok. Then, he gets pissed because she sleeps with someone else. It's ok for him, but not for her. No thank you. Then after the attack, he is a total jerk. She needs to grow a back bone and kick his butt to the curb. Ugh.

I didn’t know what to expect when going into this book, as I didn’t read the synopsis and boy did this one hurt. It was totally different from Jennifer Foor’s other books in the Mitchell series but oh so good. Christian was smart & beautiful & had the most amazing best friend, Ethan. She had a loving family who stood behind her. Even though she had all those things, she still felt like she didn’t belong. She didn’t feel beautiful or loved. She had a loving family who stood behind her. Even though she had all those things, she still felt like she didn’t belong. She didn’t feel beautiful or loved. She wanted that & when she moved into a home with roommates while going to college, she tried changing herself to become more confident & fun loving. She was somewhat happy & then she met Seth. He was sweet & caring. She thought being with him would help bring her out of her shell. However, things don’t always seem to be as good as you think they are. Something terrible happened, which tore my heart to shreds. Christian didn’t know what to do. She didn’t know who she could turn to. Ethan would always be there for her but she wasn’t sure if he would for this situation and she didn’t want her parents to find out because she didn’t want them to not love her any more because of what happened. She was embarrassed. What she didn’t realize is that Ethan & her family would do anything for her, to protect her. This book had me so consumed that I felt like I was inside of the story. I couldn’t stop reading when I got to the next chapter. I had to keep going. I wanted to cry for Christian because her pain was hurting me. She should’ve never had to feel that way or feel there was no one she could turn to. I absolutely loved this story, probably more for its realism and the fact that this stuff unfortunately happens all the time. It made me smile when she was able to get some help, even more so when everyone was there to help pick up the pieces that she needed to be whole again. She finally was able to love herself after all the times she thought she couldn’t. Gah! Such a great book!

Christian is the 3rd book in the Mitchell-Healy Series. The Mitchell and Mitchell/Healy series are among our top reads. It's no secret that we are HUGE J4 fans, out of all her books this one has touched us the most. This story will pull you in, have you flicking the pages like a maniac. Your heart will break for Christian more than once. It's not often we are blown away by books that leave us writing our reviews over and over trying to find the words but to also do a book the justice it deserves, for us this is one of those books. We both agree this is not just the best book in the Mitchell/Healy series, it's one of the best books Jenn has written. Christian has always come across some what awkward and quiet compared to her siblings and cousins. She thinks of herself as a nerd and socially awkward, she lacks confidence, keeps to herself and feels like she doesn't fit in. Christian is as gorgeous as her mother and has the tantalising green eyes of her father, it's a lethal combination she can't seem to see. Growing up she's only ever had one friend, her best friend Ethan, he knows her better than her family knows her. Ethan is her rock and she loves him dearly, not just as a friend, but so much more. "You’re not weak. You’re pretty damn strong if you ask me. I don’t get why you want to be like everyone else when the person you are is perfect. They’re the ones that need to take notice of you.” Wanting to make a change she moves from the dorms and moved in with three girls she doesn't know. Stepping out of her comfort zone she is determined to make friends and start enjoying life. It starts with a night out with her roommates, hoping it will change who she is to fit in but goes against the morals she was raised with. Christian is faced with some of Ethan's conquests; he makes no excuses to hide it. Every time it’s like a nick to her heart, the one guy she wants but he only sees her as a friend. She's at college to change and she's about to TRY and take a step forward, giving into a handsome desire. Ethan has been in love with Christian since the first time he saw her, when they were young. Knowing a deeper relationship would interfere with their futures he has kept her at arms length and his feelings at bay, keeping up the 'just as friends' until they both achieve their goals and graduate. Then he would confess his feelings.... but is it too late? There is so much more we could say but don't want to ruin this beautifully written book. The characters in our eyes were written perfectly with the plot and storyline. We were messaging and talking to each other while reading this book, and the one thing we kept say 'wow this book, how do we review such an amazing book? How do we find the words to express how this made us feel; it’s going to be hard.' We could continue to rave about this book but we don't want to spoil any of this beautiful painful story. Oh and thank you Jenn for giving me (Kristy) my Colt fix seriously that man is like a fine wine, he just gets better with age. Ohh and don’t forget the way he say’s darlin’ to his daughters swoon (Kayla). Congratulations Jenn for an amazing addition to the series, we can't wait for Noah and Shalan's wedding novella.

She’s never seemed to be able to fit in, in any group, whether it was with her family, her peers at school or anywhere else. She was always the nerd & wasn’t able to easily make friends. She only ever wanted to be loved and to be accepted by her peers. The only person that she ever felt close to and was able to connect with on every level was with her best friend Ethan. They weren’t ever sweethearts, but they shared all of their important firsts, with each other, and went to the same college. Christian always wanted more, but Ethan never let their relationship be anything other than friends. In her quest to fit in to seem normal and make friends during her junior year at college, she takes a girl’s night out with her roommates. Drinking too much alcohol leads to impaired judgment. Luckily, she escapes without being hurt that night, but she’s not completely lucky. After tragedy strikes, she doesn’t know where to turn. Her parents are busy dealing with her younger sister, her brother is busy running the farm & spending time with his fiancé and she can’t tell Ethan because of their sexual past. One thing is for sure. She won’t be able to get past this and heal by herself. She will need to lean on someone. She will also have to learn how to continue in her everyday life without being overcome by fear. **POSSIBLE MILD SPOILERS** (view spoiler)[ The only thing that kept this from being a 5 star book; was that I could never really connect with Ethan. I possibly understood his reasoning of why he didn’t begin a relationship earlier, even though that is what he wanted, yet constantly lied to Christian about it. I also didn’t like that he was out sleeping around, yet selfishly held double standards for Christian and hoped she never found anyone else or was ever with anyone else. After the attack & he learned more about the events of the day, he got pissed at her. If he would have pulled his head out of his a$$, they would have been in a relationship and the attack would have possibly never happened. I generally don’t fault or blame a character unless they are the villain, TSTL. There were times that he was a real sucky friend. Granted, there were times that he was a good friend. He was willing to drop anything and come running if Christian needed him or if she was in danger. I also felt like the book ended too soon and rather abruptly. I really wanted deeper explanations and being able to witness them. I wanted to feel more vindication. (hide spoiler)] Colt & Shalan’s wedding novella, A Merry Mitchell Christmas (#3.5), is in the All I Want anthology, out now & Jake’s story will be released in January 2015.

What! A! Book! This is a book that features one of the children of the original Mitchell series couples. It is amazing. She is a bit of a bookworm and has always been looked over (in her eyes). She is beautiful, but she has no idea that she is. She is away at college (not far from home however). She decides that she needs to be more involved in college life. She thinks she is boring and needs some new friends. She is trying to fit in. She is trying to be something that she is not. As we move along in the book she has an encounter that will change her life forever. She feels as if she can't confide in anyone. The only person who she feels safe with is Ethan. Ethan and Christian have been friends forever. They actually are a bit more than friends. Christian is open with her feelings while Ethan hides his in secret. I got so mad at Ethan throughout this book. I wanted to kick him where it hurts. He had such a double standard thinking throughout the majority of the book. While he's out being single living life to its fullest, he expects Christian to stay pure for him. He finally redeems himself in my eyes but not without me wanting to throttle him. There is a sensitive subject that I feel Jennifer does a great job with in the book. We feel with these characters. I had tears several times. I love that this series is based on family. Family is who we can turn to in the darkest hours. This family is real. They hurt. They love. They are quick to anger. They feel. They are awesome. You will love this book. You will love the characters. I can't wait until Noah's wedding and the next book that will feature one of the cousins.

Here's to never fitting in! I love all of Jennifer's books and this is no exception. I read it in less than a day, starting up until I finished it! As normal a few tears were shed, but it is worth it -- there was also young love, humor, retribution, bullying (and not from Ty this time), and true love. And now a bit about the story... My arms were meant to hold you, and I know for a fact that my heart was meant to love you.”

I am a huge fan of The Mitchell/Healy Family series. I started this book and finished it in the same night there was no putting it down. Christian was different on so many levels, Jennifer took a very hard subject not only to read but to write and killed it. While I don’t love reading on this topic for many personal reasons I have to say I couldn't put the book down, I just had to keep reading. I found myself on one of the biggest emotional roller coaster ever. But when it comes down to it Chris I am a huge fan of The Mitchell/Healy Family series. But when it comes down to it Christian’s family is awesome and all rally around her with love and support and get her through her rough times. Learning words are only spoken but actions are from the heart, can Christian move on and find love or is everything to much to get over. This is a must read book, just know there are some parts that are more graphic than we are used to in The Mitchell/Healy books and they have to do with sexual assault but they aren't so graphic you can’t move on, because I promise you will be moving on and wanting to know what happens next.

This might be one of my new favs from Jennifer Foor!! This book stole my heart, broke it, and slowly mended it back together! It was a slow process tho! I really liked Christian. Her story was a heartbreaking one. Ethan, her best friend/f#@& buddy/long time crush, was not my favorite leading male.
