I love the idea behind Soup Sisters and Broth Brothers as an organization and I was super excited to receive their newest soup cookbook to review, and it did not disappoint. I have tried a number of the soup recipes in the book and have had good luck with them all, with my favourite being the minestrone. I like how the cooks give readers some tips of items we should have on hand so that we can easily whip up a wholesome soup in no time. I like how the cooks give readers some tips of items we should have on hand so that we can easily whip up a wholesome soup in no time. If you read these suggestions prior to trying a recipe you will likely have all the ingredients on hand for most of the recipes, if you don't you might have to improvise! That would be my one critique of the book, is that several of the recipes are a step up from a basic broth and using your leftover vegetables and meat from last night's dinner. Many of them ask for leeks or shallots or a flavouring that is likely not in your pantry. That being said, once you get the ingredients the soup is fantastic and the recipes pretty easy to follow and make. If you enjoy a hot bowl of soup during the lovely winter weather, I would recommend this cook book.

Thank you goodreads for selecting me as one of the winners for this cookbook. I have already picked out several soups that I want to try and I've already tried one. It was delicious and cant wait to try the others. The recipes are easy to follow and I really liked the vegan and gluten free designation symbols at the top of said recipes. The wide variety of recipes encompassing all of the seasons was nice as well. Thank you goodreads for selecting me as one of the winners for this cookbook. Lots of ingredients in these soups, and not enough pictures. They get an extra star for their charity work.
