   This book is full of little snippets from the show and recipes that the show inspired. If you re looking for recipes that have a complete list of calories, carbs, protein, sodium, and the like; you re going to be sorely disappointed. You might also have a coronary reading the ingredient list for some of these recipes. The show was on television before many of you were born and the recipes taste like they are actually from Mayberry RFD.    This book was much better than I had anticipated. Having never watched a single episode of Mayberry my neglected childhood was not familiar with the ethos of the show or its cuisine. But..there are some great recipes here, along with cast profiles and even episode excerpts. I mean, where else can you get a recipe for alligator stew? Now i know.

   4.5 rounding up with smiling cheeks! This book is hysterical, so tongue and cheek I couldn't stop laughing out loud. I haven't seen this show in decades, but the memories are fresh with all their photos and quotes.    Great cookbook I have used several recipes so far. They are great. I love the reading from the shows and pictures. Great to see the people again and remember. Will be making a lot more recipes from here.

   What a fun book this is. Lots of information and photos from the television show - a place I'd love to live if it was a real place. I enjoy watching reruns and this book makes me laugh almost as much as the show did. Have tried a few recipes and they were good, even if the cooking time might not be exact! Can't wait to try Thelma Lou's fudge - with cashews or without, both recipes are included. What a fun book this is.     Good food and entertainment I spent a very pleasant evening reading this cookbook. The stories are a must for any Mayberry fan. The recipes all look really good, and as comforting as Aunt Bee, Andy and Barney. This book was fun. It is highly. Recommended.

    Interesting Cookbook I love cookbooks, this will be a favorite! I enjoyed all of the extra little tidbits from the show. As well as the names for the recipes, this is a fun uplifting cookbook.
