Totally okay - Didn't bring any new information about Buddhism that I didn't already get in the previous books I read; __ and __, but still very good. The later part of the book are meditation exercised that I haven't tried yet myself - I just skimmed past them. But I'd gladly try them out some day. I think it's kinda cute that the book comes with the practice, and not just information. "Do it, and do it now!" - I like it. This audio wasn't bad. I just found it too talky to relax into meditation before bed. There wasn't enough meditation. I used to have ensomnia all the time on and off. But, once I started giving myself positive "mind snacks," And relaxing meditation before bed, I sleep very well most nights after clearing my mind and putting only positive thoughts in it. This one was distracting for that purpose. This audio wasn't bad. I just found it too talky to relax into meditation before bed. There wasn't enough meditation. This is just what I was looking for in a great meditation book. This has helped me push past the blocks I've been having. If you're open to meditation or you're looking for different ways to meditate, I highly recommend this book. This is just what I was looking for in a great meditation book. Inspiring and peaceful! This author explains the reasons for meditation and teaches the reader how to proceed. One aspect was not helpful for this newbie meditator - the periods of silence were not guided enough to keep me focused. Reading this and doing the online meditation with Headspace is helping me to cultivate a mind that is more calm, focused and satisfied. I highly recommend this book.

I ended up giving up on this book half way through not because of the author's writing but because I was listening to it via audio book and kept falling asleep. The author's voice is like liquid velvet - SO relaxing!!! A perfect intro into the practice of meditation. :P I ended up giving up on this book half way through not because of the author's writing but because I was listening to it via audio book and kept falling asleep.
